Hey yall, look for yourselves at what the Jim Starlin states concerning a battle between an Incomplete IG & the UN:Besides the obvious (uhh ... UN getting owned by the incomplete IG)
Starlin's words (writer's narration panel)
"a New Supreme Being (Magus) steps forth.
And a champion (Quasar) far from home (616) learns that the word "Ultimate" holds little weight
in this current contest of titans"*Can it really get more clearly than that?
It couldn't get clearer that the IG was absolutely powerless against Maelstrom, but we don't project some sort of IG+ power onto him. He doesn't have any IG+ feats separate and apart from resisting the IG. Why would it make sense to project UN+ power onto the IG when it doesn't have supeior feats? Sorry, but just because Quasar got owned while holding a superior weapon means exactly that. A superior weapon means nothing when it comes to actor vs actor. You'd like to obfuscate the debate and wholly ignore that Magus beating Quasar has nothing to do with whether the IG is more powerful than the UN.
Again, I can kill a man wielding a rocket launcher with a handgun, that doesn't make the handgun more powerful than the rocket launcher.
And don't even try to suggest that the Soul Gem alone destroyed the future reality. Thanos and In-Betweener. Nuff said.
