No, you are altering it to suit your needs. Your bias is plain to see and only applies to certain characters.

I just destroyed your logic and you won't even admit it. It's all here.

You destroyed shit. Odin isn't multiversal, neither is HOM Wanda or E2 Superman just for sending ripples through multiple universes.

Ok, I see you ignore all showings that contradict your ignorant opinion. Ok, how then did the ig defeat the un?

Lessee here...I just pulled out my copy of 'Superman Beyond 3D' #2 which I had bought based on my arguments with people over the 'greatness' of this tie-in, just to see if I was missing something.

From a fashion perspective, there is absolutely no doubt the cosmic armor defeats the IG. It is really spiffy, while the IG ABSOLUTELY SCREAMS "uh, the 1970's called! They want their color scheme back!"

Functionality? Here is where the CA gets the big 👇

CA Supes meets Mandrakk on page 25 of issue 2.

Page #25 - Mandrakk blasts Superman with, uh, 'Evil-Vision'. Superman fires back with heat-vision. Mandrakk then tries to electrocute Supes.

Page #26 - More Evil-Vision and lightening from Mandrakk.

Page #27 - Lotsa chitty-chat

Page #28 - Supes gets pissed and delivers a bag-shot (dirty cheater!)

Page #28 - More chitty-chat

Page #29 - Supes grabs a piece of rebar and stakes that damn dirty vampire. One final blast of heat-vision sends Mandrakk into the abyss, 'until even the idea of him is lost'...'until the Overvoid, the mind of the Monitor, engulfs him...already forgetting' (that is until Mandrakk reappears 4 pages later drylaugh)

Based on the above epic/titillating battle of CA Supes I would choose to wield the IG any day of the week.

Idiot. Try reading it

I'm an idiot because I thought it was an underwhelming, boring 'epic cosmic battle'?

Guilty as charged I guess.

xJLxKing, if the 'vampiric' Mandrakk were a real entity that fed off of comic stories he would rather eat a sunshine sandwich than touch FC with a ten-foot green stake.

He'd be gorging himself silly on Blackest Night or just about anything cosmic from Marvel.

I agree. The ca and Mandrakk displayed nothing even close to what the ig has shown itself capable of through feats and the ridiculousness of it's applications through it's sheer mastery over power, space, time, soul, reality, and the mind.

I don't blame you if you didn't like the fight. I could say the same amount MM and Beyonder. They were holding hands, that's gay!!
Mandrakk from FC and Mandrakk from Superman Beyond are not the same thing. If you had comprehended the story correctly, you would have known that

Can it eat stories?

Thanks to you I am fully aware that Mandrakk V2.0 is not the same (or nearly as powerful) as the first one.

My contention with this is the actual battle itself. When someone wields the IG in a brawl there is mass devastation.

When Supes wielded the CA it was like he was fighting any run-of-the-mill adversary, like Bizarro.

Now I know people will shout back 'WELL, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS BATTLE WAS FOUGHT ON MANY DIFFERENT PLANES OF REALITY SO YOU CAN'T UNDERSTAND HOW TRULY GNARLY IT WAS!!!'. Fair enough, but color me unimpressed when compared what the IG has accomplished.

It should have been more 'epic'.

It seems everyone from across the board always gets that messed up.

That's more a fault of Grant Morrison's writing than the CA itself.

there is no such thing as "stories" in marvel. atleast not the same as DC.
If Mandrakk actually jumped out of the comic and ate the issue then I would believe u. again..there is no such thing as "stories" in marvel. atleast not the same as DC.

But you concede that the IG only operates on a textual level whereas CA Superman and Mandrakk were meta-textual.

I was just looking back at one of the infinity saga issues and I saw one moment in which an IG user was going to merge 616 universe with a few other universes. that right there is multi-universal.

Oh, I have no doubt. CA Supes could've blown my socks off if done right (like written by GJ 😄 ...love that guy!)

But from this I hope you can understand why a large chunk of the fanbase were turned off by, well, pretty much everything FC because of the lackluster feel GM gave it. When someone throws a 'Mandrakk vs Whomever' thread out there it is hard to get excited...Morrison didn't 'show' us through his story what Mandrakk is capable of...it was all revealed through the narrative (and some dialogue)...which presented in a visual medium like the comic book pisses the average fan off...

WE WANT OUR BIG HONKIN' EXPLOSIONS SHOWN IN GORY DETAIL!!!! 😠

This is a dark path you are trying to lead us down...

Next thing you know clowns will be popping out of the woodwork talking about how She-Hulk has broken the 4th wall...and really, what is the difference between that and Mandrakk 'eating stories'?

One is completely serious. The only being other than PM or Ca Supes that could have beaten Mandrakk was Grant Morrison himself, the writer that pulled Animal Man's strings. To my knowledge GM is the only person in comics to ever take breaking the fourth wall seriously.
