how does technopathy give you the ability to invent superpowers? it is the ability to communicate with technology, not Forge's "I-can-invent-anything" power, imho

at the very least, in our universe, you would be subject to the laws of science. You could control the peak of modern tech, and maybe, if you, yourself, understood the engineering behind it, improve it in ways.

also, in the Marvel U, any technopath that isn't absorbing the Bastion/Nimrod/Technarch AI from the X men series is retarded. Yes, you apoc

through technology

In real world: telepathy.
In comic world: magnetism.

you don't invent technology, you just communicate with it

like, technopathy would be amazing, just not for the "I can do whatever I want" reason, more for the "I can command the very thing that runs all social organization on the planet"

madisson jefries does alright.

I'd go with telepathy or magnetism - assuming this magneto's version of "magnetism"

I'd go with either Telepathy or Magnetism. I'd control the world 🏴‍☠️

he is also a highly skilled inventor/engineer.

sure, if you build robots in your spare time, you might be able to use it to help invest new stuff

I think it all depends on scope for me. Using each power to their fullest (as I view them) and described as:

Technopathy: the kind that Madison and Engineer have where they can create anything using technology and communicate with technology. I'd also like to be lazy and not have to be an engineer to know how to create it (so a forge type understanding)

Telepathy: Xavier/Nate Grey style where you can turn it on or off, implant thoughts, manipulate thoughts, psionic battles, mind dumping information, astral field, etc

Telekinesis: Physical control of everything to an atomic level

Magnetism: Magneto style magnetism

With those stipulations, I'd take telepathy, followed by technopathy, telekinesis, and Magnetism.

If its cursed telepathy or technopathy for engineers then just stick those two in the back.

Real World: Telepathy, provided it wasn't constant.
Comic World: Telekinesis of the highest caliber.

If the Telekenesis is sub atomic and extends to psions and gravitons etc. It has to be top, we are then talking about control of everything.

Watched Chronicle fairly recently and I was reminded of this thread. Telekinesis is a pretty cool power to have - being able to experience flying like they did would be a huge rush.

Hmmm...my arguments in this thread seem a little weak, I must have let my bias get the best of me.

Assuming average level power in each, I'll change my answer to TP.

Yeah that was cool.
TK for me if its on sub atomic level and higher.

The problem with this battle is that you need to have gauges of potential. At low levels Telepathy is gonna lose. Reading minds but not Being able to influence anyone would leave you with no true offense or defense... A low level magnetism or telekinesis ends up with a knife through your heart... But a low level techno would probably just surf the Internet but not hijack any major tech...

You go to extreme levels? Then you probably end up with a fight with magneto vs Xavier vs hank warlock (phalanx version) and possibly Nate grey during his tk only period.... Or even justice (Vance astro)

In that fight the telepath rapes the telekinesis. Magneto would have a helmet to defend or he'd be out too... And ten warlock wins as telepathy would be useless against him in. A direct fight but indirectly the magnetism could be used to win...

All very abstract thinking when it's a four way.

What? This would not be Magneto so no helmet would be in existence.

And in real life - why fight? I think it should be more about which power will best benefit you in your life.

Technopathy

I feel like telekinesis would be the most fun power. I think Chronicle might have influenced that thought process - and besides being fun it still gives you a whole lot of versatility.

Yup.
You have flight ,shielding ,can "amp" strenght, pick stuff apart or construct ,lift stuff and many more.
