Spartacus: Blood and Sand

Very nice episode, especially for a finale, but is there going to be a second season? I mean they destroyed nearly every cast member. Only ones I can think of that will pose a threat is Ashur, Ilithyia, and her husband.

If it follows history, it will be Spartacus and crew raising a large army and pillaging Roman territory, while the Romans attempt to crush them.

I'd guess Glaber will be leading the army after him. Crixus will be looking for Naevia (who is hot), Ashur will be trying to angle some plot.

Anyone know what happened to that large Legionaire that crushed a gladiator's head against the door; then killed 2-3 more? Think he was the first guy to fight Spartacus for Glaber's sport a few episodes back. Don't remember him dying during the massacre/escape.

If he wasn't butchered, I'm sure he managed to sneak away ala Ashur.

I'm glad Ilythia survived. She is my favorite person to get naked on that show.

PS - Do you think the anal-redhead lived through the massacre, Rob? 😂

I do hope so, I really do hope so. Each show should have at least 5 minutes of her naked or partially-naked in it.

I think they showed her for a second, Ashur was checking out one of the slaves; I think it was her. Was all very fast, can't be certain, but face looked pretty enough and the the micro-glimpse of the boobs seems to be about the right [large] size.

Obviously, but I mean what will it be about. Prequel to Spartacus' life before being a slave? Like we need that.

I believe it will be about Crixus and the others before Spoartacus was even captured.. I think they would be doing the 6 hour miniseries while andy whitfield conquers cancer

The history of it has Glaber dying pretty quick being way over confident in his ability to crush the rebellion as Rome did not take it serious at first. This show is not following a factual/historical approach though, they are basing it on the characters and changing it as they wish so I imagine the hunt for Glaber will last a while as that is all Spartacus really wants.

Andy Whitfield is cancer free..

I tried to get into this show; I watched the first 6 episodes or so and wow, all I can say is that this show is terrible. A very poor and blatant attempt to rip off popular films like Gladiator and 300, terrible special effects, laughable acting, two-dimensional characters, and just gratutitous sex/violence - none of it well-done.

One of the worse shows out there.

Good to hear that Andy is is now a slayer of cancer too, congratulations to him. Love this show, Ilythia is silly hot, I might watch the series again today just for her. Spartacus' wife was hot too, what a waste of talent.

Seen ads for this show its gonna be starting on one of the tv networks here

Seems season 2 will be a prequel:

Kinda old news it seems, but new to me.

Yea because of the cancer treatment they had to change it up rather than shut down production without their star for a while.

Kinda blows, as I was looking forward to seeing the present story go onward.

But more Batiatus can't be bad.

I'd heard that season 2 was being delayed, so the "prequel" was a mini-series.

Maybe the "real" season will be a continuation?

Poor guy looks thin and haggard, chemo can't be fun. I'm sure in a few months he'll be back in great shape.
