saw the first 2 episodes already...

like 300, though much crappier fx's...

too much sex though...

It's not like I'm puritan or anything, but I think they use it mostly for shock factor than anything else... too much that is actually distracting

It's hard to take talks of politics, war and machinations for betrayal seriously when the characters are getting their genitals rubbed...

I'm going to keep watching... It's not great but the battles are entertaining enough.... if anything there's plenty of naked chicks every 3 minutes... seriously... they try mix it up a bit in the second episode (dongs everywhere) but the nudity every 3 minutes still applies

I agree. I've seen commercials with better effects but you can never have too much sex. I mean, the naked women are at least attractive. [:

Xena naked= hot (even though she's a bit older now)

but there's just too much of it, it does more harm than good... It's distracting... at times it feels like a soft porn movie than an action set piece.

not that I'm saying I'll stop watching...

I watched about 10min then turned it off.

I watched this yesterday night. One of the biggest problem is that this movies is nearly impossible to watch will chicks mainly because of all the nudity. I was like....okay and all the girls in the room were red and didn't talk for the duration of the movie.

The action is okay, but it looks really fake. By this I mean the blood, the gore, the cuts, the heading chopped off...everything. They slow-motion this was over used. Like 10 times in a 1 minute fight scene.

The equipment looks fake 😂

Despite all these setbacks, it's still pretty good. Just remember, no watching with other ladies it becomes rather weird.

Overall, it's a 7/10. I am playing on watching the next one

I actually laughed when Spartacus stabs a guy with a spear and 7 gallons of blood comes rushing out in a blossom of gore LOL. Overdone, cheesy but I will keep watching in hopes that it gets good.

I was really hoping on something along the lines of HBO's Rome.

Never watched more than an episode... it had good production values 😬

Rome was a damn good show. Can't say episode 1 of Spartacus impressed me.

This 300 style slow motion spoils what would otherwise be half decent action scenes.

Rome was very good.. It was canceled due to the show costing a lot of money, but the ratings were always good

Don't know why you were expecting something like Rome... when I first saw the trailer I instantly thought 300, same sort of style too.
