James Cameron Says 'Avatar 4' "Goes Nuts" and Studio Executive Said “Holy F*ck” After Reading Script

“I can’t tell you the details, but all I can say is that when I turned in the script for 2, the studio gave me three pages of notes. And when I turned in the script for 3, they gave me a page of notes, so I was getting better. When I turned in the script for 4, the studio executive, creative executive over the films wrote me an email that said, ‘Holy ****.’ And I said, ‘Well, where are the notes?’ And she said, ‘Those are the notes.’ Because it kind of goes nuts in a good way, right?”

Cameron also said of Avatar 4 that “you think you know what it’s about, and then, oh no, you don’t,” and that “I hope I get to make that film, is what I’m saying.”

Turns out they're all ghost trapped in a virtual world created by a super AI. Calling it now.

😂
Even apart from that comparison, there's nothing to really remember about Jake Sully in a vacuum. Cameron's salt is lovely.

I've only read the IGN review on this movie

basically says it fleshes out the mythology more that was established in the first movie, But it might not be one of Cameron's best sequels but its still a decent film

Watch this be mediocre but critics wall say sequel of the decade...

No, no. Even bigger GREEN cat people controlling the artificial simulation!!

Cameron will create magic again. Just you wait and see.

Watched it this afternoon. 9/10 loved it.

Literally, the same movie as the first but in water instead of trees.

Just wait to watch it on stream.

I'm going to disagree, yes the humans are the same to a point but it flipped with who is starting to understand at the end. I thought it was great and visually in 3d stunning. The issues a d the mythology was significantly fleshed out.

Alright, I guess I need to stop reading here. I'm going to see it tomorrow.

I might catch this tonight if I can make time, so I'm better than you PL :0

You better fu#king not see it before me.

I had to buy tickets like 3 or so weeks ago. The best seats were selling out fast.

Will be seeing this tonight myself.

.

I'll be there with you, holding your hand 😍

Holly phuck this movie was mediocre...

Why the hell is this 3 hours again?

The villain is the lamest shit ever who came up with this idea a 5 year old?

The plot is lame, the characters are shallow, the lore is simply uninteresting. Jake As a character is lifeless so is his whole family...

There are some nice visuals and cool fights but waiting 10 years for a movie like this is a joke...

6/10

The 3D CGI was eye gouging orgasmic. That is irrefutable.

The story and acting? Depressingly mediocre.

Just a cinema popcorn film, nothing more.

Worth seeing, but just once.

6/10

So, exactly what we were all expecting.

gonna wait until march or april or watch on disney plus

It was great. In some ways actually probably better than the first.

There wasn't anything stupid like "unobtainium" and they're clearly planting some seeds for future installments.

That being said I had a headache before it even started and the loud-ass theater made it worse.

But it's great.

The first Avatar film was infamous for causing headaches/making them worse, lol.

They should include painkillers to the tickets, I guess 😂
