That would depend, supernatural powers like regen/DT/mind control/immolation etc are usually called Dark gifts, for example Magnus, the vampire who gives Kain the dark gift of immolation had greater strength than Kain at the time but only slightly. Kain now has higher strength, but it was not the "dark gift" given to Kain in the gameplay. But anyway your making red herrings, your adding assumptions in as fact, nothing states Dark gifts as anything other than a name for powers Vampires have or what are labeled. It still does not counter the fact their physical/mental powers, full stop, this is what Regen is, physical. DT may be a combo of both. Not true, Dante is not that fast not that he would know.
Well why are you relying on them then? oh it iz!. Show me Dante reacting to something, then we can gauge RT, show me him reacting to Vergils predictable attacks that he can see coming (advantages Kain wont give him).
Gameplay mechanics do not count like hitpoints, how many hits an enemy takes, things for balance (e.g. bosses being immune to certain powers, one hitting enemies not allowed, impalement is impossible until their weakened etc). Your using gameplay mechanics and claiming them as canon/logical.
All canon showings show the reaver killing people in one hit like that. It says "eats souls on strike". The Sarafan lord was beaten true,but as shown he has not taken a hit from the reaver, not a scratch on him unti Kain impales. The reaver soul rips, simple, no resistance to that? damn, Dantes dead.

Tell you what? Im the one asking. So Kain couldnt take his strength? Dark gifts are the evolved powers, fact is demons (dmc) are nothing like LoZ entities. Those powers are only done by demons.
Im not relying on the graphics im relying on what the cutscene shows us. Told you the DMC3 intro cutscene, those strikes took <milliseconds. Even if he could see it coming, reacting to it at that speed is better then a bullet timer.

I dont recall seeing bosses after boss fights to have marks on them, so he was struck by the Reaver without his soul being taken away... huh. Now if Sarafan was stuck with the Reaver and survived until the last hit, what does this say for its capabilities? Tut tut you just had to turn cocky :/

BT's argument seems to be Kain teleports to Link and attempts a swording. Link's reacted to this crap before. (Zant, Ganon, ect.), and Kain eats a mortal draw if he tries it. Unfortunately, he can't react, or defend. 😛
