STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Chains

Alright! So you don't see anything suspicious or threatening to the Free Flier. Maybe at some point they had laser turrets or something, but not now. Disabling your ship would take someone going into it and fooling around with its systems.

"Nothing I couldn't fix," Emso quips.

Aside from the bay holding your ship itself, there are no apparent security measures aside from the occasional thug with a blaster.

Hmmm, they order the doors to be shut though. That needs to be dealt with.

Perhaps Emso could disable the controls before we attempt to rescue Altar, so there is no rude door closing.

Hangar doors are indeed a problem. It would be a matter of finding out where they are controlled from.

Logically the control room. Is there a control like room in the dock? Or am I gonna have to take a visit to the one in the market?

You may have to do some sleuth detective work to find that one out.

Must be said, the control center is meant to be the bridge of a once-mobile space station.

Yeah, thought I want o put off going there for as long as possible. If I bump into Hanza this is going to get messy very quickly.

Could I have Emso and Vlad stake out the Elevator and watch for anyone proceeding to the prison level? I want to get a general idea of how frequently they change shifts, who goes down there, etc.

I'm thinking up a plan of meeting an incoming guard half way and either ambushing him for his keycard, or convince him that I'm suppose to go down there, like as an interrogator or something.

Impersonating a guard would be Savoir-Faire, and Lying to bluff your way in.

Yes, Emso and Vlad can do that for you.

And Wentar has both available to him so that's not too much of an issue.

Excellent! I'll get them on that then. Now lets see. While they are doing that, I guess there is no avoiding it, Wentar will make a trip to the bridge, since that's the only place I haven't really been to yet.

The bridge itself is not a public area, considering it controls the whole station. It is in the center of the marketplace and well guarded.

Well that makes things more tricky. Could at least get near it and see what kind of people are coming and going? Perhaps I can bluff my way in if I know what kin of person to impersonate or something.

Sure!

I will handle your preparation stage by making all the rolls for your various endeavors at the same time and going on from there, so feel free to throw your ideas out there.

Hmmm, well I need to find a way to keep those hangar doors open. Perhaps I should, instead of affecting the control room, somehow jam the doors, or even sever the connection between the two. Though I think a jam would be less detectable. I might need to see how the system works and is connected.

I still wanna see what kind of crowd is around the control room though.

It will be Fix-It rolls to determine how to handle the door. Emso can help you there.

Observation to notice anything important about the crowd going in and out of the bridge.

Any other ideas?

Two things Wentar is weak at yay.

Perhaps a more social route is viable. For now I will go seek out Emso and ask if he can jam the hangar doors during our rescue of Altar.

Emso will look into it.

More social route like what?

Well I was thinking about asking around on who/what kind of people visit the control room and how regularly.

Asking who?

People around the control area, in the market place?

That works. There are a few of those vending booths near the control area, but there is a stretch of open ground between them and the entrance. It is swarming with thugs and there are some automated turrets.

So a pretty well defended area I'd say. Does it look like there is a 'check point' between them? As in are people needing to identify themselves as they enter this stretch of open ground?
