STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- The Cursed Swarm

"Maybe the Bollans know more about the Swarm," Aurel says.

"And you can use what you find out to deal with that," Harvik says. "I'm not getting paid to solve this planet's issues. You guys can go on your altruistic quest. We're finding the Bollans and getting out of here. Right, Trawley?"

"Sure," Trawley says, hesitantly.

"Indeed, it is not your problem," replies Iffa, "and I wish you luck on getting past those aggressive Pirates on your way off of the planet."

Harvik is put off by that and carries on in silence.

"I'll talk to the Captain about it," Trawley says.

Eventually, your journey away from the village carries you into the foothills at the base of Utu Malakui, the mountains from the map. The fog is less thick as you ascend into the mountains, so you can see better that the mountains are not as sturdy as they appeared to be. In fact, it appears that they are a collection of narrow spires that rise up to a central mountainous rock- a fascinating natural formation.

Where you are now, the rocks are flat and wide and easy to cross. Once they start becoming narrow, it will be more difficult to traverse.

You do find a sign that you are going the right way, though- there is a stick wedge into the rocks that has been intricately carved.

Looks like Iffa's acrobatics might come in useful!

"Onward and Upward!" says Iffa.

There is a problem.

Aurel and Seth are confident they can jump from spire to spire, but Trawley and Harvik are not sure that they will be able to keep up with you.

And FR-3PO cannot traverse the spires at all.

"We'll go ahead" says Iffa, "keep in touch by communicator."

"You're just going to leave us here?" Harvik says.

"We'll need the protocol droid..." Seth points out.

"OK, well let's take it carefully. I'll scout ahead."

The droid is going to need to be carried to get it up and across the spires. Being a giant hunk of metal, it needs a Strength of 5 to pull off. Aurel volunteers.

Harvik and Trawley will have to bring up the rear while you move ahead. Seth offers to stay at their pace unless you want him up there with you.

No, I'll be fine. Seth will need to cover them in case anything happens.

In that case, Iffa is pressing on ahead while the others get organized. You come to a point where the rocks start to narrow and rise. More sticks mark the path.

It is going to be three Agility rolls of increasing difficulty to see how you do. Alternatively, you can spend a point on Great Leap to make it all in one roll.

Make the three rolls!

Rolls made! You roll an ample number of successes on all three rolls, allowing Iffa to nimbly hop from spire to spire without a problem. It is when you start getting close to the center that things go wrong... as a flurry of arrows zip past you when you're in mid-air and you land roughly on one of the spires.

"I am here to help!" shouts Iffa, holding his hands up to show he means no harm.

For a moment, there is nothing.

Then, a small figure jumps up onto one of the spires near you. It looks human and is very, very short. He has a modified crossbow of some sort.

"My name is Iffa N'Aworru. I am a Jedi Knight, and have some friends below who are looking for Bollans. Are you Bollans?"

He responds in a tongue you don't understand and gestures toward the central rock column with the crossbow.

"I'll get my friends," responds Iffa, gesturing down the spires.

He doesn't like that and fires another warning shot before gesturing to the rock column again.

Can I use the Mind Trick?
