USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE V (LIGHT SIDE)- Harmony

(Aww crap. Here we go!)

At the locked door and the unexpected challenge at the gates, Andro lets his hand drift toward his lightsaber and readies for the fight he's sure is about to start.

Well, at least our disguises got us to the gate, he thinks to himself as he watches Roan for a signal.

Yeah but they also got all the guards ready-alerted. Trying and failing a bluff is much worse than having just rushed the gate.

Jelena will answer in Thalosian (?).

"Good day, officer," Jelena says. "We are on our way to the Grand Library. Is there a problem?"

Can Xeth hit both repeating towers with Carnival or are they too spaced? How many Yeomen are around the gate?

I shall call it Thalese, mostly to annoy.

The yeoman looks up and down your group.

"What is it you want there?" he asks.

"We aim to research our past architectural achievements for current development projects," Jelena says in Thalese, sounding professional.

Professional you may sound, but your Lying is not great... got much to help you with a roll like this?

EDIT- Brit

Hmm... I have the power Leadership if acting authoritative would help at all... this might be something Vera would be better at. 😬

You might want to try a different approach if you wish to sound authoritative- but do you have the skill Leadership?

I do! 2 points worth.

Would telling the yeomen that the information is classified suffice? I don't know if there's any way I could fake pulling rank on them without Lying.

Two points worth means you can try ordering your way past him, if you pitch it right.

Hmm. Okay.

How about telling him that we are looking up architectural information but that she cannot explain beyond that as their business is classified government work?

That's persuasion rather than leadership, and with a hint of lying. Leadership is giving orders.

I think this got missed.

They are spaced. There are ten on the outside.

Hmmm, how about just telling him to step aside? We have done nothing wrong and haven't provoked any reason to be harassed like this.

But Thea said they understand basic right?
So if I pitch something like "I want to speak Basic so the Prisoners can hear what their fate is." They would understand it?

I've also got Leadership at 1, Persuade at 2
Plus Presence and Leadership as Force Powers.

I think only the ruling class can understand Basic.

Ush, Vera-Kin has Languages 3 and Lying 1 but also Presence. Could she pipe up with Jelena's original pitch? Or is she not talented enough with the language?

As noted, no; Thea said no such thing. Only the highly educated class speak it (e.g. the Ladies and attendants). You've never seen a Yeoman speak basic and this has been and this is rather the issue with your plan...

You can pitch in if you want, Vera, though in the end only one roll can be made at the guard.
