I'm not cool enough yet to post links but Rexx is going to do it for me.

How far off is that pilot skill?

Until I finish my solo campaign with Rexx, which may take a while. We certainly can't wait around for it. I'll be happy to hitch a ride with you. I'd repay you in sexual favors or something, but I don't know you that well yet ( 😛 ). I'll just watch your back and be awesome and stuff instead.

Speaking of, what does your character look like? Don't get any ideas, it's just important to Tilulla and how she interacts with people.

Ush- I should have already swapped Carnival of Carnage for Charge and moved up to where Andro and company are located last turn.

This turn, swap Eye of the Storm for Perfect Strike and use Coordination as he puts away his blaster in favor of his lightsaber, deflecting incoming blasterfire from the yeomen as he moves West.

Vera-Kin will let Wentar try his ploy.

Let's give the council a call to see if we're welcome and if we can get any information before hopping on public transport. Is there anyone close to Xeth available that we can talk to?
Digi, you'd better do the talking, Jonn is a bit on the awkward side.

...and by Digi I of course mean Tilulla should do the talking.

Give me an afternoon to think about the appearance, I'll post once I have that figured out.

"What?" says the assistant. "Of course it is a problem! How am I meant to log the reference section without a reference?!"

Fisto explains this is a very serious situation. Kara Katai is the only so far seen representative of a new faction that seems to be a threat to the Republic- the problem is, the Council is not entirely sue what the nature of the threat is.

"Though let's just say we're uneasy enough about the future to take it seriously," he comments.

You don't like it when the Council is this unclear on things, Iffa. Though even the Masters have their limits, you guess.

"Kara's activities so far have been disrupting and destructive, though not in of itself clear as a galactic threat. She has been involved in as many as a dozen high-profile raids on museums, libraries, archaeological sites.. all areas connected with great antiquity. SHe's basically a thief, but her methods are hardly subtle. Her arrival is always connected with civil disorder, riots, or of the just enormous bouts of destruction- she always destroys the sites she steals from, leaving us little idea of what was stolen. She is causing irreparable damage to these cultural sites, and the chaos that accompanies her is costing many lives."

'Mmmm' ponders Iffa, stroking his beard,, 'Well it seems there could be two possible reasons for these thefts. One is that these are simple thefts for fencing and profit. The other is that there is design behind these choices for some larger purpose. The destruction that accompanies the thefts implies the latter. A thief wouldn't be so...visible.'

"We know it's not for profit," says Kit. "Quite aside from the better targets someone of her skills could hit for money, she has actively left behind- or even destroyed- objects of great value on her raids. Money is not what she wants. We concur- we suspect a pattern, somehow related to the antiquity. But the destruction is so wholesale that we have not been able to build a pattern."

'Do you have a list of the antiquities stolen?'

Nope! They never know what goes.

They have only two leads where sntahces were witnessed by Jedi, which is part of the story of how this investigation came about. On the planet Cassilis, she stole a tablet from an archive of knowledge deemed too dangerous to be known about in the Republic as a whole. And then more recently she stole something small enough to fit in a pouch from an ancient tomb on the world Agalania.

"That raid disrupted a major Jedi anti-piracy operation," says Kit, and led directly to the current manhunt. We'd already been investigating, though, since she was spotted on Cassilis."

'and she is currently on Mebark? Where shall I expend my energies first Master?'

"Well, not entirely. Based on the Knight Trilanger's initial report from Cassilis, we determined this person was a threat and gathered all we could find on her. After she struck again on Agalania, we put as many resources as we could into locating her. Following a single lead we had from a person who claimed to have seen something resembling some of Katai's unique talents before, a very large Jedi team was dispatched into the outer worlds to follow that lead- beyond our communication range. At the same time, the Bureau of Immigration and Undesirables used their network to distribute her details to as many points as possible and run an analysis on as much security footage as we can. And so it was that yesterday, Katai was seen arriving at Mebark. But with our team out of range, we canoot contact them tol update them."

'I see. So I am to ascertain her location, but not apprehend her? Is that correct master?'

"We need her taken alive- we need to know who she works for. But I doubt there is anything she wants on Mebark- and she could get almost anywhere from there."

'So I am to Prevent her leaving.'

"If there is time. Failing that, find where she was going."

(OK! Back now, for at least a few weeks. I noticed a few pages back that Argo asked about splitting up. I'd say no, not in this case. Too much risk of either getting permanently separated and/or on or more of the smaller groups being overwhelmed by a party of guards. We go in the direction Roan indicated. We go East. If I've got the map in my head right, we're either heading toward where Roan could be going and/or toward the center of the complex.)

'OK Master. Anything else I need to be aware of? I will head down to the surface.'

So noted, Andro!

-

"Yes there is, Iffa. Kara Katai is no mere talented thief. There are unique difficulties when dealing with her that you need to be aware of."

'Really? Does she possess force powers? Advanced weaponry?'
