USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE V (LIGHT SIDE)- Harmony

"Both. Kara Katai is well equipped with technology we do not always recognise. She has subverted some of the most sophisticated security apparatus going, and her spaceship as proven impossible to detect with sensors- it can only be picked up by the sentient eye.

"In person, she does indeed display powers with the Force- but of an unorthodox kind. As well as moving objects with her mind, she appears to use the Force to defy gravity. She has been seen running on floors and even ceilings."

'So catching her in the open will be key. She can only walk on such things if they are there.'

"So we assume. But she's no fool- she's always had an escape route ready She is also a very good shot."

'Then we think ahead.' Iffa strokes his beard once more. 'Perhaps if I could get a tracker on to her ship. Then we could recalibrate our sensors to know where she is, then the ball is in our court.'

"Assuming she is using the ship this time. It seems she was spotted arriving on a passenger liner."

'But may not be looking to leave on one. I think I need to locate her and track her movements first.

Yes, my mastery of the force also allows me to run on floors! Fear my power!

Looks like you misread that one then Andro, as Roan is ordering a split up and you are moving away from him, as he is moving towards where you were.

However, you guys are still just wandering around randomly. I already warned about this- this will fail! The prison is too big.

Also none of you attacked, which is odd.

Xeth and Andro- the northwards corridors slope downwards again. This invalidates your original reason for coming this way.

(Thea specified the LIFT, not a darn slope...)

"Indeed," says Kit. "There is another thing, Iffa. Kara's strange force powers are not the only issue involved with her movements."

'in what way?'

"The disruptions I talked of. At Agalania, her presence in the middle of the pirate invasion is not thought to be a coincidence- the pirates took unusual measures to move into that area. Even more disturibingly, Trilanger on Cassilis reported a type of mas hysteria, driving the whole population into violent acts, almost causing a Civil War. Even the Jedi were affected.

"In our analysis of her movements, sometimes there have been unexplained phenomena like that and sometimes not- but it is always against a background of chaos that seems to be 'coincidentally' there for her."

'Is there any sign of this on Mebark?'

"None. But nor is there anything that fits her normal target profile there."

'So she could be passing through to somewhere else. Which is where we started.'

"What?" says the assistant. "Of course it is a problem! How am I meant to log the reference section without a reference?!"

"I am sorry," Wentar says. "Surely there is a way to let us in without forcing us to go back for the card. We sort of have a tight schedule, what with the new city designs already underway."

Now that he has his lightsaber out and Charge in, Xeth will chop down a yeoman and then head back the way he came.

Are there any signs that we can read indicating which way the lifts are?

Let's give the council a call to see if we're welcome and if we can get any information before hopping on public transport. Is there anyone close to Xeth available that we can talk to?
Digi, you'd better do the talking, Jonn is a bit on the awkward side.

I have a contact on Coruscant. A PI I used to work with. It might be useful to contact him to see if there's anything going on in the intelligence channels.

...

Ush, I'd like to contact my friend/colleague on Coruscant:

During her time as a freelancer on Coruscant, Tilulla made various contacts within the workings of the city. Most notably, a private investigator named Mineh Ishido. Sharing Tilulla's desire for justice, with or without government and Council sanction, the two formed a businesslike friendship that was mutually beneficial. He can act as Ti's eyes and ears on the city-planet when called upon.

...from my shower room, wrapped only in a towel if possible.

Not sure if you want a full conversation with Mineh, or if I'll be able to contact him at all. If I can but we're not doing a full convo, the gist of my inquiry is that we're trying to hunt down Xeth Tam, have been out of contact with him for some time, and know that he talked with the Council recently. The Council likely won't be amenable to my requests for information, so we're digging for any leads on Xeth's whereabouts, and what the Council's interest in his mission might be.

I will look for signs as well (Which I assume means an observation+Languages roll?)
And move to attack the Yeomen in the North.

One or the other, Roan; the chance to check things without being under fire has passed.

Xeth- the trouble is, you don't know the word in the language for 'lift' so you cannot tell on a casual glance. There is the occasional computer panel n the wall though.

-

"No!" says the librarian. "No reference, no entry!"

-

"So it seems," says Fisto. "Watch yourself on this one, Iffa. We'll keep trying to contact the assigned Jedi group, and if any other Jedi in the area become available we'll send them over. May the Force be with you."

-

Ok, your PI gets on the case, Tilulla! He doesn't take long- Xeth was involved in a great battle against a pirate clan at the planet Agalania (in co-operation with the Jedi), but something went spectacularly amiss- it's unclear what, as the pirates are in custody.

What he does know is that the Bureau of Immigration and Undesirables- one of those new bureaucratic bodies established since Palpatine became Chancellor- has been hitting every law enforcement agency on just about every world in the galaxy trying to get a visual on a wanted criminal- and the 'last seen' note on the dispatch is Agalania.

That dispatch has now stopped, which Mineh guesses means that the Bureau got a firm lead so they didn't need to send out galaxy-wide any more. But if Xeth and co still haven't turned up, it can't be them that have sorted it. He reckons the Council are anxious about this case; maybe if you offered to help...
