Now that we are in the library, we want to look for some sort of console that will help us start looking for things to research.

"Tilulla Rynn," I respond. "Call me Ti (like "Tee" not "Tie," for reference), or Rynn. This is Jonn," I say, motioning. "He's a bit shy," I say as I wink at him with a small smile.

Let's go somewhere to talk, first off. Tilulla, and me personally, will need caught up. I've been trying to follow your storyline since I joined, but I feel as though there's more than I've seen.

"OK," says Iffa as they take a seat at the Mebark Cantina, "I've only just arrived myself. We're here to investigate the wearabouts of a female named Kara Katai. She has numerous piercings and tattoos, So is quite distinctive, and has a good command of the force, insofar as she can manipulate it to walk on Walls and defy gravity. She is high dangerous, and we are not to engage without support." He pauses, thoughtfully stroking his beard.

"However,"'Iffa continues, sipping his drink, "we must be prepared for every eventuality. First of course we have to locate her - to that end I have been trying to get shuttle lists from the locals. The liner she came on has since left. But we also need to ensure we go in ready. So my thoughts have settled on a plan."

"What we need are nets...."

yeah, If it's like the jedi archives, it doesn't look like they have books or anything you can take out of shelves

"Can't engage her without support?" I motion to the bartender to order a drink. "Something strong with fruit in it, please."

"I thought we were the support? This Jedi can't be so dangerous that 3 of us can't take her down."

Also, Iffa, character sheet, physical appearance, etc.? I like to know as much as I can.

It's not her killing any Jedi sent against her that is the worry- it is her expertise in escaping.

(OOC: Do you mean Iffa or Kara Katai, Digi? Iffa has a detailed bio and description in the character creation thread.)
IC: "She has evaded a larger number of Jedi than us before. But they were surprised. We will be prepared."

And here was me thinking intimidation would draw too much attention.

What does the inside of the library look like Ush?

Kara...
She's managed to escape us every time we've had her cornered.

Hey all,

I was a little ambitious jumping into this game. I'm having a hard time following the story and getting the hang of things. I'm going to bow out of this game and play a couple side missions before coming back if thats alright with errbody.
See you at the next join point.
Cheers,
John

Intimidation doesn't have to be beating someone up. "Ok, but you are the one who is going to have to explain to my Mistress why we weren't able to get the research she wanted" is Intimidation.

The library is of wood and brass. It is laid into great rows of bookshelves, but indeed no books. Instead, there are many brass cylinders laid into the shelves, like ancient scroll cases. The cylinders need to be removed and fed into a data reader. It's quite archaic- the technology is old, and it seems they never update it here.

This gives you rather a lot to look for. What actually is the plan?

-

Just the two of you on Mebark then!

Nets are hard to use against someone who can use the Force.

There is a time factor on Mebark. There's nothing on Mebark she could possibly want- she steals stuff from ancient sites- but Mebark's main use is as a transport hub; she could get a ship here to any number of places. You'll need to trace where she is heading before it all goes boom.

OK, then we need to get all departures over the next say 72 hours?

I shall assume all move east at the prison.

We will have to look for a terminal, perhaps that will give us an idea on where to start looking... though that reference card dealie makes me think it will be a lot harder then that.

Ush said the Gallagher was needed here, perhaps he could 'sense' the right direction we should be looking in.

Are there signs labeling not only the sections of the library but also the brass cylinders?

Yes, but they are often vague and the writing on the cylinders is small and obscure.

Gallagher has no sense for anything here.

To the North!

Are there any 'index's' we could use? Either on a computer terminal or on the walls? A map of this place?

"indices", I believe.

Yes- but the repository is massive.

As an addional ex-library/book employee...
They should be shelved roughly categorically. So you should be able to look for general things. Looking for a larger history area may be easier than looking for your specific request.

Are you happy if we get the departures Digi? And I'd still like to get nets/net gun too...

I made a big post and my browser deleted it and now I'm strapped for time and my computer isn't working right so I'm on my friend's laptop. Blah.

Mith, move forward with the plan. Assume my tacit approval until I return.
