We place a call to the...was it Collective? Anyway, we request an audience at the soonest possible time, and inform them that we beleive it to be a matter of some urgency. We identify ourselves as well...better to work with them, at least for the time being.

So to be clear, how are you identifying yourself?

"We are diplomats!" Jelena responds, stepping in front of Lady Thea. "We came in peace. YOU attacked US without provocation!"

As Jedi Knights, under direction of the Jedi Council. No need to be anything but truthful for now.

Hopefully Iffa doesn't object. As a point of reference, anyone who outranks Tilulla can be taken as overwriting what I/she says, unless I explicitly request otherwise. Ti is a free spirit, but is generally deferential toward Jedi superiors. Should help move things along if I'm not around for certain decisions or there's dissenting opinions.

Xeth does not let his guard down, wishing he could contribute to the confrontation with Aquila.

"We come as representatives of the Republic," Vera-Kin says to support Jelena. "We did not seek war."

"No!" says Aquila. "You are outside agents sent to disrupt us! We all know of the threat posed by outsiders!"

That does seem to turn the mood against you.

Ok, Tilulla- the person you are in comms with wants to know your particular business in coming here.

We should get them to understand we are no threat. I don't mean we should surrender our weapons, but somehow make clear (by doing instead of talking?) that we are friendly.

(I hope what I'm saying is something we really forgot to play up... I just thought about it yesterday.)

"You are mistaken," Gallagher says. "We came here are part of an investigation. We have a common enemy, Aquila. We are trying to locate and arrest Lady Adelmo. She is a threat to the Republic, just as she was a threat to the Harmony."

That's not going to help anything, really.

"We're in pursuit of a known thief, and have reason to believe she's either headed here or is already on the ground. We would seek an audience with one of your directors of security in order to ascertain how to best approach our search for the thief. We don't want to broach any of your laws in our search, and hope to work with you to track her down. Any assistance you can offer will be appreciated."

Addressing the Consul isn't going to do anything. She's set in her ways. Maybe we should try talking to the Ladies?

It may be wiser to let Jelena and Vera do all the talking here too. Since Males aren't very highly viewed in this society, especially males from the Republic.

A different person takes comms, Tilulla, and informs you that they doubt there will be such a problem, but they are happy to show you any security arrangements that concern you in order to convince such illustrious guests. A representative will meet you on the ground.

"Bet he'll have an advisor with him..." says Tobin.

Jelena is right, and I know you've already said a couple of things. What would be the thrust of what you are saying to the Ladies?

"what's an advisor?" asks Iffa

The general thrust would be that we came to this world as diplomats on an investigation, and that we were attacked before we even had time to land and meet with anyone. Lady Aquila is using the Thalos government resources for her own personal interest (protecting herself) rather than for the good of the people.

(and let Thea be heard as is her right, instead of being summarily and unilaterally thrown out. 'Does this one Woman (Adelmo) speak for all?' and/or 'Do Ladies other than Aquilla still have any say here?' may be nice touches... maybe.)

Of course, that you have a language-eloquent female spokesperson does wonders for your chances here.
