USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE V (LIGHT SIDE)- Harmony

At Gallagher's call, they reveal themselves! All around you are popping up tribal-like primitives, dress in leathers and headdresses, and bearing primitive weapons...

Gallagher takes a quick look around to make sure none of his colleagues ignite their lightsabers, as to prevent misunderstanding.

"Hello!" Gallagher shouts in greeting.

Are they human?

Yes they are.

"Teu a va lak!" says the leader, expressively. "Waa to a mora!"

(Ok, who's got the high language score? Also, stay ready, remember we were talking about natural Force-using civilazations? They might have a realy nifty way of throwing those primitive weapons.)

"Ascar, do you or anyone else know this language? We might want to know if that was 'Hello!' or 'Bug Off!'." Andro mentally flinches at his choice of words, hopefully 'Bug Off!' isn't a deeply personal insult on Geonosis.

(I think Jelena has an awesome language score and Liberator has a protocol droid with him.)

Wentar silently looks at the leader, a little curious about why they are up in the hills and not the cities.

What emotions can Wentar sense from the leader? Surprise, anger, joy? Would that be using the Sense for power or Scan?

Scan.

You sense fear and some anger.

Jelena- this language is unknown to you, though perhaps with some practise...

Ascar steps forwards.

"Uk ten kabak, Atrii. San hallo kola, wee an to sha."

One of the tribesmen- an older one- steps up next to the leader and asks a quizzical question in the same tongue, which Ascar returns.

A quiet and tense few moments pass...

... and then the leader steps forwards and embraces Ascar with a cry.

Andro releases the breath he had been holding, and clips his lightsaber back on his belt. "Well, that has got to be the first pairs of hiding eyes that hasn't tried to kill me. Kinda nice." he mumbles to the closest few around him.

I should have some points in language too;.. can I understand something of their language?

and to make sure we understand each other: let's be friendly to them and even when things go bad, we should give them the benefit of the doubt
(sorry, but I spend my last game with the renegades 😛)

Do I understand them?

If Jelena does not recognise it, no-one does.

"I say we remain cautious, just in case."

"What has been said?" Gallagher asks Ascar.

"Just a greeting" says Ascar. "You won't need your weapons," he says, looking at Xeth, "The Atrii are insular and suspicious, but not hostile."

Xeth frowns at Ascar and utters a "Hmph," then places the sonic blaster in its holster across Xeth's back, next to his other toys.

"Would it not be better if you warned us about this?" asked Vlad as he glanced at Ascar.

Vera-Kin will Scan the Atrii (as they seem to be called) now that Ascar has sated them.

"You must learn to appreciate the power of an open mind," says Ascar. "You should experience this place like I did, though I did just save you a lot of trouble. Come now. The Atrii cave system is carved into that great rock wall ahead of us."

What are you after, Vera?

Their feelings toward Ascar, and toward us.

Directions are difficult, but the tension in them seems to have eased.

Denzral did not move for his lightsabre or blaster under his robe, and so just follow the group. "Interesting place you have here. So what happened to the people who build these cities, Ascar?"
