USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE V (LIGHT SIDE)- Harmony

"The Chancellor will not make anything right. All we can do is make the galaxy hear our message. With the Senator hostage, we could do that- now you have taken that away from us."

"War will only subvert your message further. Any sympathy that you may have gained will be completely lost, and you will have no effect on anything. What is your message? That your people are suffering? That message has been received. That the senate must be more transparent to ensure that you get the aid that you so deserve? That message is understood by all of us here, and the Chancellor as well. We are on the same side. We want the same things. Let us help you."

"Oh, but there you are wrong," says Vodon. "When the galaxy hears our story, sympathy for us will spread like wildfire. We are oppressed and penniless, and Coruscant is the cause- and you are working in support of it. And when the galaxy watches you crush our tiny world that could not possibly have threatened you, it's sympathy for you that will fade.

"If you want to avoid war... give me back the Senator."

"I cannot guarantee that we'll be able to do that," Jelena says. "What was the Lamellan Senator doing on Ando anyway? What business does he have here?"

As before, she is suspicious of Senator Nebb's intentions and presence.

"We will not broach the subject again," Vera-Kin assures the protocol droid. "Actually, I just wanted to talk with the Senator, and get an account of the events that transpired to his being taken hostage."

The Lamellans are staunch opponents of the FRA and Nebb was here on a fact finding mission to that effect. He's a valuable member of the FRA opposition as he is on the Mandragos Commission and here is an insider for the anti-crowd.

"Well you'd better find a way, if you don't want it to be war," says Vodon.

"The Senator does not wish to go other these traumatic events until the situaiton is resolved! Your efforts would be far better put into ensuring his safety rather than wasting his time!"!

Gallagher might not hate Nebb as much, then...

"Would we be granted reprieve to contact Coruscant with this matter?" Jelena asks.

"I understand," Vera-Kin says. "In that case, is there anything the Senator would like to speak of? My associates have the ship secure, and this is my first time meeting the honorable Senator of Lamella."

Can I Scan Nebb?

(I have a feeling we are on our own Jelena. There's really not much more they can do. The Chancellor saying he's going to pass the bill is about as good as it gets.)

Odd; my post did not post.

Indeed, he will not allow any contact- time is an issue. You have five minutes.

No, Nebb has no matters to discuss and he feels your attitude to security is extremely complacent! Get out there and protect him!

Anger, suspicion, worries.. a twisty mind, Vera.

"Surely you would feel safer having a Jedi bodyguard at your side at all times," Vera-Kin insists, eyeing the Senator suspiciously.

Would Iffa getting a boat to the docks be a feasible option, or would it get blown out of the water?

"The Senator does not feel any safer with you around at all, based on your current levels of competence! And why was a Master not sent to protect someone of his eminence?"

Well, you'd have to steal one. But for what purpose?

To rescue everyone and save Nebb having to swim.

Vera-Kin quietly goes over her calming practices in her head.

"I am a Jedi Master, Senator," Vera-Kin says. "I have been for over fifty years, and I have led quite a successful career."

Sadly all the calming practices in the world didn't stop you saying that line...

"You are a Master? What is your name?"

Now you are in trouble, Vera. You have the title of Master but not the vested authority and it was someone with the appropriate responsibility and authority that Nebb was after.

The great thing is that no matter how much Nebb burns you, people keep trying to talk to him (as if there is ever anything useful you could ever get from him...)

Nebb is the absolute representation in this game of Republican corruption- he is venomous to anyone that comes near, and his type are in the ascendant.

They could walk off the ship, Iffa; leaving isn't the problem (except that Nebb won't go). But you can defend the ship; you can't guarantee you'll travel anywhere else safely.

And if Vera-Kin does not give her name?

Then he'll get you later for that as well.
