Dak smirks. "You're going to know when to use that rock, huh? Right..."

Perhaps he can use it to find out when to use it.

"Well, that's an interesting...gift..." Rianna comments. She totally let Xavier catch it 😛

Xavier continues to look at the girl while closing his hand around the stone.

The lizard is right you know you'll lose it or something

"Don't you start, " Xavier says to everyone.

"And yeah this is an interesting gift but a gift none the less."

Con will lean to Xavier and whispers "Please, hold on to this, I don't want to die because you can't find the future rock"

"Don't worry Con I'll keep the stone safe."

Ush, does Gallador know anything about the force users that do not believe in force? He would love to impress Adelmo with his knowledge of Jedi Lore.

If we pool our knowledge perhaps we can deduct what the war might have been, since she said it was unlike other wars?

Actually, Adelmo does not seem to be interested at all in anything we know or believe in, right?

On a different note maybe those of us with ties or contacts can find out something useful?

I feel like Adelmo has more interest in us than she lets on, but otherwise we are muscle. Interesting that she prefers to think of us as knights.

I have the feeling that many of the women in Adelmo's group have a dislike for men. Lady-in-Waiting (which means what exactly?) kinda inferred that it is not unusual for men to be piggish.

Galder says little during most of this time. He does not like Adelmo and never will. He is curious about the casting stone that the younger lady throws to Xavier, at least, but otherwise he is glad to see them get going.

Lady-in-waiting doesn't really mean much - historically it was a noble/high-ranking lady who attended and accompanied a royal lady (queen or princess). That's all.

And you only have the feeling that most of them dislike men? 😛

They are very "witches of dathomir" in some ways.

I guess we should think about what to do before we leave then. Though I think Con is set.

Well indeed! It is time for you guys to get going.

But what actually is the plan?

We bought clean transponders, didn't we?

Actually that sucks, I mean the bureau must find out about 10 "Jedi" getting sent off, no? It could taint our transponders again, or worse?

I guess the general plan though was to get to .... the planet the tax is collected on (sorry I am incredible unorganized atm, and just forgot all the names of the planets), there we kill the tax collector, perhaps endear us to the population, then surrender (or fake losing). The next part is obviously not up to us, I suppose we are taken in custody, tried or sentenced and put in prison. Then we will have to see what is there. I mean we don't have any information about the place, we don't know who is there (if anyone) we don't know the dangers...and it's not like we can decide where to get dropped. It all seems like stuff that we have to figure out when we have the information.

Is it possible to smuggle anything in, like could Xavier bring the stone he got for example (i mean, we have no idea at all what its use could be to us, still)?

[edit] Addendum for the transponders. As I understand it they are outside the reach of the republic? I'd suggest perhaps not taking the transponders at all, not to run risk of getting them tainted. I assume that they won't care whether a ship has Republic approved transponders, no?

They can only pick up transponder signals within their tracking network. There is, however, nothing more suspicious to the Bureau than a ship with no transponder.

Your planetary target is Selene.

If anything is smugglable, it is a small stone!

Okay, well, it's good if it is not an issue. Probably a bit too paranoid about the transponders anyways.

So to summarize again:

Find out what we can about the missions, through ties and contacts

Get to Selene (same set up as last time? Con wants to cuddle with Xavier again)

Kill tax collector, play Robin Hood, surrender

Get sentenced and thrown in prison on Datura

Find Kuylen or his DNA

Get picked up by Adelmo

Get back our lightsabres

????

Profit

Any objections?

What is the 'getting to the tax collector' and 'getting captured' part of the plan?

Well the way you explained it is one big marketplace, yes? With long cues of people. So I thought we said we'd ix among them, cut somewhere far ahead in line and wait until it is our turn and then just flat out kill him?

Again though, it's hard to make plans without knowing the actualities about the situation. But I think that's what we came up with when we talked about it

Does Con know anything else of how the tax collection works there via savoir faire? Like, how do they know who has to pay taxes and how much, what are the security measures in place etc.

The way I imagined it, is that we get close to him, kill him, perhaps throw the credits amongst the masses of people, yell some rebel-like phrases and then pretend that we surrender as our "plan" has been fulfilled.
