"Could they be repaired?" Rand asks. "Obviously a large project."

"In vague theory, I guess. But it would take weeks at least- the links are thin and built into the superstructure. The links would need to be re-built and bored back into place... who the heck would be bothered to do that? And to supply blue itself, some of the work would have to be done ON blue. Unlikely."

"Very. What about the trogs? Is there more you can tell me about them? We already heard that they're monstrous, hungry cross-breeds."

I assume people thought of that before and there's a reason not to do it, but what about cutting the air supply to blue to kill the mutants?

"I saw one once," says Kayda. "On green. It ran away- they hunt in packs. It was smaller than a human; thinner. They live in a low oxygen atmosphere so I don't think there's much to them. Sharp teeth though- and it was on the ceiling."

The air supply to blue is already cut as much as it can be.

Rand groans at the description.

"Probably not very durable, at least. Just... nimble and a general pain."

Mooks, Ush?

"Sounds about right."

Well, someone needs to find the cylinders to put air into...

Rah has already started on that detail

Yup, all noted!

"Hmm. Perhaps you can help us, then. Our reason for going down to Black is that we need to find Kuylen, or at least his corpse. His DNA will unlock something and we need it. Obviously, you believe he may have been eaten on Blue or suffocated on Black. Would there be anything ELSE that we could get? Maybe someone stabbed him and got his blood?"

He shakes his head.

"Sorry."

Rand sits for a moment.

"Kuylen is a talented swordsman... how likely do you find it that he even MADE it to Black?"

He shrugs.

"Rationally, no chance. Still. They said that about getting up to red. I am not denying he was impressive."

"Getting to Red sounds easier than getting to Black..." Rand says. "How did your army pass the door, by the way?"

He laughs.

"Kuylen built his army in secret and no-one had really latched onto how dangerous he was. We hid at the t-junction by the way up and Kuylen just walked up the ramp, bold as anything. He was past the first set of guards before they worked out what was going on. The second set at the trench challenged them, and he waved his hand and they let him through. The third set tried to stop him and before you could even blink he'd killed the four men next to him. So then everyone moved to go kill him... and we charged into their backs. It was the damndest thing."

He ran past, Mind Tricked, and then Twirled...?

He didn't run- he walked it. Otherwise, yes.

I love him.

"That's my Master..." Galder says. "Brilliant man."

Actually, to be more precise, he did a Whirling Strike tap with the Twirl, so he disengaged and jumped into the Trench (he has Alacrity, so jump rolls are easy for him). This immediately took him out the archer firing line and the defenders had to jump into the trench to get him, which was not so easy; they were doing that when his army hit them.
