God Kratos invades Hyrule

Now if you want to use a Templar Knight, then that shit is about as spitey as spite can spite get, spite.

Oh. Templar Knights are godly. Yeah, they'd probably beat a Spartan in a fight.

Shield Wall. Once the Knights hit that the numerous spartans behind would have their own spears ready to plunge into the Knight. Knights are good but melee is almost useless against a phalanx.

Spears = useless against plate armour, significantly less effective against a man in chainmail than you'd think.

They had a pneumatic launcher throw a spear at a chain hauberk like they used to make in Norway around the year 800, and it didn't pierce it. Also, the knights have shields too, and you're losing more spear points all the time.

The Templars were beyond manly.

What was that you said about swords designed to chop off spear heads, too?

I just want to say that Knights > Samurai. Don't know if you guys have already gone over that as I have not read anything other than this page.

AH but are Knights>Spartans.

Knights are definitely > Spartans, yes.

They had those in the medieval period specificly to deal with polearm formations.

One on one duel, a knight would easily beat a spartan.

The spartan doesn't have a single weapon that can get past plate armor.

Wait. Do the knight in LoZ even have full body armour? If I recall correclty they don't.

They do infact have full plate, yes.

Oh. We are comparing cross game warrior classes? 😮

What about the numbers for each side?

There are many gaps in the amrour that a Spartan could stick his sword. Such as the armpit or the neck.

Chainmail.

all while trying to get past the knight's shield and not get stabbed himself? A Spartan is d00med.

No, there aren't 'many' gaps. This is hyperbole. The very point of plate armor is that its the ultimate defense against bladed weapons. It is very well protected. Obviously, there is an opening for the neck, but thats what the helmet is for. The armpit? Hard to reach spot , and there will be maille worn underneath the armor anyway.

Knights were by far the best grounded melee soldiers ever produced.

Knights in real life maybe, but Hyrule knights to GoW spartans is a different story.

From the clip i remember the Spartan army is greater in numbers. That and the way that they fight compliments each other.

Nah ah.

Shaolin Monks

A blade is going to be nigh-ineffective against a knight's armor. A war hammer was invented for dealing with plate-mail. Blade weapons just don't have the weight or durability to deal any sort of damage.

Monks weren't soldiers. And Kung Fu is overrated.
