Bowser vs Cloud

he didn't tank it so much as wake up an unknown amount of time later lying in a pool of lifestream that was healing him.

Lifestream doesn't heal. In fact it's turned Cloud into a vegetable twice now. Even if it did heal, you can't heal the dead, meanin he still tanked an explsion that leveled a skyscraper alive and with no visible damage.

Not takin' sides here but I'm curious to know what the basis for the "Meda Flare" (Did they really give that move a name?) bein' able to destroy a city. I don't think it can. Not sayin' Cloud would lose.

The small ones made big explosions, that final one (maybe not flatten the city) would be way more destructive.

Aeris only 'helped' when Cloud was in the blast.

I can see that, I just didn't get the whole, small on=big explosion, so a big one must be able to destroy the city. Hell, the Meteor at the end of the OG VII only ruined the city.

Which is one of the reasons why I like Aerith better than the rest of the overrated cast. Even her main cosplayer is hot.

I was taking a guess she used Fury Brand for him, you do see a couple of her limit breaks in the movie.

You could call it a fury brand, but even then it just let Cloud cli/hazzard on Bahamut Tremor, his durability was not improved.

Regardless: we still don't know what happened to that mega flare that apparently should have been supar destructive. I watched the scene, and it just kept going.

She only came when he was partly through it. He wasnt showing any signs of struggle.

He grunts, and is having difficulty ect when Aeris saves him, then the mega flare does NOT disperse, he exits it, and it keeps going.

Not sure if that means that he couldnt do it without he help. MAY of been difficult but he wasnt struggling.

At 3:08 (my post) you can see that the flare has been split through the middle and spreads out. It was all gone before an contact with the ground.

Cloud is a freaking juggernaut, he didnt need help from Aeris when he went through the Mega-Flare, the only reason she showed up in that scene was to show that he had her moral support, just like with the rest of the team that through him up there to take out Bahamut. Cloud's durability was shown in VII in alot of other ways too, like the fact that he gets shot at at almost every fight in the game, by either bullets, tanks, huge machinery, explosions, and that he has to go close to the center of the earth towards the end of the game( I'm pretty sure the heat down there is about the same considering that's where lava comes from), and like the juggernaut that Cloud is, he still comes out on top. To get back to the original argument, there is no way that Bowser could best Cloud in a fight. If a short Italian plumber on shrooms can take out that over sized turtle in every one of the Mario games, then I'm pretty sure that Cloud could mop the floor with him. Also, Bahamut is Cloud's summon originally, the only reason it was used on him in AC was because his materia was stolen, and he also has Neo Bahamut, Bahamut Zero, Hades( the god of the freaking underworld, who's hellfire would make Bowser's fire-breath seem inferior on so many levels), and the Knights of the Round. Even with all those summons, Cloud wouldn't need to use them because he is superior to Bowser in every aspect. The only reason that u are sticking to Aries helping him, and bullets > Cloud is because that's the only defense u have in this argument. Bowser< high, midget, Italian Plummer = Cloud > Bowser .... do the math 😛

The main problem with that post is that you underestimated Mario. The rest of it is pretty bad too.
