In this situation he is the boots, and Midnas the strength.^ Its not a whole new character but different strengths/weaknesses for them; Beast, man and flaming head have different feats.
They all stem from the same basic template of Ganondorf, however. The transformation is a feat in and of itself, as well as the flaming head resurrection. To say otherwise is not a viable argument.

I wouldn't call it a resurrection so much as a change in tactics. "K giant beast didn't work, new plan!"

other than insta pwning midna... what feats does flame head have?
2:10 is the only other time you see him like this in the game.

Surviving Midnas attack? Must of been a reason he chose to be in that form :/Edit: Yeah and like in other games the transformation is stronger then the pre- form. (or some other things are different) What im getting at is Beast Ganons strength not being the same as Man Dorfs strengths.
That is a fair assumption, but both you and Burning Thought muddled the context, or perhaps I was simply unable to read the context properly, heh...in any case, even with the changes, the feats still stand for Ganondorf as a whole, because even transformed he is still himself.

I apologise if what I said came out wrong >.> True, but saying Ganondorf is physically as strong as when he's in his Ganon form makes no sense.

Not always, in some instances such as TP and ALttP he's shown to be cognitively and empowered just the same as if he were in human form as in beast form. In others such as the Oracle games Ganon's beast form exists without having the same mind as Ganondorf.(probably just cause he was half assedly resurrected from the dead in those games)
INdeed all True, true. Although in ALttp at least had the full triforce, perhaps this is why he had such powers even as a beast.

Burning Thought, that has to be one of the single stupidest remarks I have ever seen you post, and I mean that with all due respect. Games have been rife with the tradition of transforming characters for a long time, hell even outside of gaming. The new form grants a change in abilities, and possibly tactics, but it is not a creation of an entirely new character. Saying Ganondorf and Ganon are not the same being is like saying regular Mario and Mario with a super mushroom are not the same. Or, if you simply cannot understand Nintendo references, like saying Sephiroth and Seraph Sephiroth are not the same, or possibly (I may be wrong on this particular point) saying that Arthas and the Lich King are not the same.Transformation does not mean creation of an entirely new character. If that was the case, it would not be called a transformation.
Hold up, when did I say they were not the same character?
me and Rain are saying the same thing, their feats, mentality and powers are different, e.g. not the same in each form. They show different powers and are physically unique. I never said he is not the same actual character.

Its ok, he just didnt understand what we meant by the way we said it.
Mercer has quite a few ways to win this.
I'll go ahead and re-post my earlier opinion.

Based on the OP, I would say that Mercer could win maybe 4-5/10 times. If he tries to keep Link at a distance, he will be turned into a walking pincushion. If he gets too close, he will have to deal with a skilled swordsman with more than enough skill to chop him to pieces.
How fast does the tossed car move? I would think Link could avoid it, or even roll with the strike if he shields properly. The whip could be sliced before it does any damage, I do not know much of the destruction moves, but if they are that strong, I am sure Link would have the sense to avoid them entirely. The spike and claws will go the same as the whip.

Asssuming he sees the whip coming, it tears into helicopters and can split people in half with a swipe. He will end up losing his arm if he assempts a block and its not likely he would see it coming anyway. Mercer is at home in New york, he could be atop a building, behind link, on the edge of a sidewalk as a random person only to suddenly swing an enormous apendage at Link.
Not likely, the spikes go underground and smash out from under the target. He has no defence and once again, he would never see it coming, the best he could hope for is to feel the tremur/shake as they approach. They smash through tanks so Link has no defence.
destruction moves take several forms, either as a load of those underground spikes all coming out at once or millions of tentacle like things that spread out.
Chances are link will end up getting the infection like the humans and become a zombie.
