Alex Mercer vs. Link

Started by Nephthys21 pages

Mercer punces the ground and a spike embedds itself in Links prostate.

Mercer wins. We all get the Virus.

...... 🙁

Spin Attack. No more spikes.

The spikes would appear directly beneath him, spinning around would do nothing but rip his heiny to shreds.

Link employs an uber technique called "the sidestep". Tragedy averted.

Link sidesteps an attack he has no knowledge of. Wow, he really is uber.

Kool, he can shape shift, Link can carve him up. 😐

Not if he doesnt know who Mercer is. He'll only realise when he gets stabbed.

How will he even know where they're coming from?

Mercer has to shapeshift to look like another person first, Link can just follow him, or put an arrow in him. Also, how is Mercer gonna stab Link? Even if he got past Link's sword, durability ftw.

Mercer sticks tendrils in the ground, they're coming from below, he just waits for them to breach the ground and cuts them off. 😐

Mercer can outrun a car and jump over buildings, Link has no chance. And arrows will bounce off. Mercer can crush tanks, if he doesn't cut him he'll pulp his insides. What are Links durability feats anyway?

No, he punches the ground, how exactly will Link guess that means a ****-off spikes coming? And they're close to instantaneous, he'll never react to them.

Run round a corner then morf. In the back? His durability wont survive the attack, and he attack as he wont know who the enemy is.
Slash multiple spikes that come from underneath him? Wouldn't know when they'll even come up.

Close to, but aren't. He will. You greatly underestimate his reaction time. It's not like Link's never dealt with instant teleportation or anything.

the arrow in his back would be a good marker, and even without it, when Mercer attacks him, Link'll know who it is, and kill him. Tadah.

Show me him reacting to instant teleport.

The only way he'd know would be the fist through his chest. Go back 5 pages and watch the clip BT posted. That'll be Link.

Show me him reacting to instant teleport.
Zant does this, Ganon does this in LoZ, while invisible, no less, various small time enemies do this(usually wizrobes), ect.

Link's not fragile, at worst he'll get knocked over. Mercer'll probably lose his limb before he hits Link anyway. Mortal draw > Mercer.

Dr Manhatten is basically God, yet Ozymandius blew him up. Beating someone doesn't mean you can block all of their abilities. Give me cutscen proof he's reacted to instant teleport.

edit: Yeah, 'Not fragile' is a good indication of durability, thank you. 😬

Zelda games don't use cutscenes for combat, Nintendo's very strict about that. Games are meant to be played. We do know Zant did use it in the fight, and it didn't net him the win.

Can stop Ganon's 4.5 GJ strength without being crushed by the force.

Hes doing it again, Paste is assuming Link can dodge/beat things just because the character has the ability in gameplay....

its like the "whip feattzzz!" all over again.

An arrow? Nah, and it wont take long for him to be hidden. And how will he know?

Just because he fought a person that teleports doesn't mean he can react to a teleporter. Unless its shown in a cutscene.

Apologise for bringing this up again but; YouTube video Cant help but notice he has the Silver gauntlets on :/

Ganon isn't that strong. And last I checked that was a strength feat, not a feat that shows he can take a sword to the chest and keep walking.

The player cheated. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get to that point in the game without the gauntlets. 😐 As I explained before.

Yes, Ganon is that strong. Also, it's a better durability feat than stopping a train. Shoulda have been crushed if he weren't durable, but he is.

Can't you just.... walk past the chest with them in?

BS.
