STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Virus

Rhys grunts and keeps his grip, continuing his climb. "What, is that all you got?!"

Droid gets initiative! Pulling back once to get some momentum, the droid slams into the speeder wall again, its piston arms doing most of the work. It falls!

Rylis and Rhys- responses please! It is an Agility roll to jump clear of the wall and not take too much damage...

Rylis is going to jump clear, using a quick burst from her jetpack to land on top of the droid...where she will proceed to tap CQG.

Rhys will like to try a special action... using his own weight to get the wall to topple toward the droid before leaping away to relative safety.

As I'm sure that will up the difficulty of the roll, I don't care, do it anyway.

Oh dear...

Rylis is away easy! She plants herself neatly atop the machine, finding a foothold on its shoulder, and taps CQG. She bags six success for 9 damage as she puts the blaster up close and personal with the machine.

Rhys, however, finds himself in a less than favorable position. The droid's heavy impact with the wall is a tad more influential over the direction of its fall than the tug of one person... it falls away from the droid and Rhys with it. He takes 19 damage (reduced by Armor) as the speeder he is clinging to smashes into the ground with the rest and jolts him badly.

Street

Loader (C8): 1(4A)/64 [SF]

Rylis (G9): 1(2A)/5 [EE CC CG] (1F) (on droid)

Rhys (G9): 3(in CC only, 1A)/20 [EE GS CG] (3F) (other street)

Rhys, you are pretty sure that the hazard suit saved you from broken ribs, but ouch. But, having fallen away from the droid, you are the first to see them.

People are amassing in the streets, drawn toward the sounds of the fight.

Rhys looks at the people, suddenly mildly worried about their presence.

Rylis is just going to keep shooting at the droid...

Rylis keeps shooting. One success is 4 damage. The loader droid kind of just... flails. It is meant for lifting and pushing, not grabbing bounty hunters off of its head.

The people are approaching... and rather quickly, most in a stumbling run. All are groaning and roaring and covered in an assortment of blood colors, either their own or others. Most look like they have been chewed on... and some are wearing stormtrooper armor.

Aaaand refresh!

"...aaahhh!" Rhys fires off shots at the zombies as fast as he can.

If he can swap in Carnival of Carnage at the start of this turn, do so, if at the end, swap it in after firing.

Hmmmm. Refresh CQG...and promptly tap it again against the droid.

What are you swapping out to make space for Carnival?

Swap out CQG for Carnival.

Remember that you need to swap things out before you can refresh them, meaning Rylis can't refresh CQG. Needed to be done in prior turns, I'm afraid.

Initiative is theirs this turn, and the loader droid continues to be useless. You've found the spot where his arms can't reach and are exploiting it. The zombie horde, three turns away, closes to two turns away as they run raggedly toward you...

The loader droid is showing no signs of slowing up no matter how many bolts you put in him, Rylis. He is extremely durable. This will take time.

Rhys pops off shots at the approaching crowd, putting down two zombies no problem.

Shoot more!

"Miss Tavel, I'm afraid we've attracted an audience."

Thought it didn't matter if you don't have anything to swap in?

"Oh, isn't that just amazing..." Rylis replies, looking at the zombie crowd converging on them. "See if you can get up here."

She's going to turn her attention to firing at the zombies, aiming at the zombie troopers. Perhaps if Rhys can get up onto the droid safely, also leading the zombies here...the droid will attack them instead.

...is there any way for Rhys to get on top of the droid?

I'm pretty sure you need to have your tapped schticks swapped out, but I'll check with Ush.

Rhys climbing onto the droid would require him to make an Agility roll against the loader droid's Combat pool.

Word from on high says that yes, schticks need be swapped out before they can refresh.

I'll try the Agility roll.

Grrr. Well I'll swap out CQG and swap in...nothing to replace it.
