STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- The White Tower of Halloy

Okay it sounds amusing... what did he come up with? (entertainment y'know)

The point was that he had nothing to share. He is really only useful for Fix-It and Sabotage functions.

Aww, I want him to have a kooky personality. lol

Anyway... I'll wear something a smuggler might wear, something that'll allow me to have my blaster on show, but able to conceal all my weapons. I'll bring my robe itself with me. but it does all depend on the way the Halloy people handle security.

He still can, but he's still only an astromech.

Indeed it does. So Denzral gets into disguise- a battered old flight jacket, a black polo, and worn pants made with a jean-like material should do the trick. You store all your equipment on your utility belt and display your blaster openly. Where you hide your lightsaber is up to you.

To get this adventure rolling, I will ask only one question about your transit to Halloy. Trade ships do not leave from Coruscant to Halloy- they want no dealings with the capital of the Republic. Do you want to take trade ships to a world that does, or fly your fighter out there?

Okay... the lightsabre will be disguised as; what else, a hydro-spanner (if I can?)

And he'll broker passage the entire way. (does he have any funds though?) otherwise he'll fly his own ship to a planet where he can broker passage(directly or otherwise) to Halloy. Also I should give Soapy a quick make-up job so he looks worn and under kept.

"I'm sorry, Soapy, but it'll only be for a while." Maybe I'll put the lightsabre inside my droid. Also temporarily I'll call him smokey as part of my cover and have some smoke generators on the droid, so I can pretend he is broken or overheating or something.

Roll a D20 for me, and if it is above 10 I'll put it in the droid and below ten- the hydrospanner. (I'll bring a hydrospanner too... and a datapad with some keypad encryption programs on it, hidden of course behind some colourful Space Slug Tunnelling game. 🙂

It'd be easier to just hide your saber in the droid, a la Skywalker in Return of the Jedi.

The Order can give you some funds for hopping ships all the way from Coruscant. Which you do! It is a long journey, longer than it would have been in your fighter, but you play the sojourner well and end up on a transport going to Halloy from a fringe world of the Republic without problem.

Great.

After about a week of hitching rides on transports, it is rewarding to see Halloy pop up in the view screen of the ship when it drops out of hyperspace just beyond Halloy's gravity well. It almost appears Earth-like, except its continents are more of a gray color from the high abundance of stone on the surface.

The transport enters the atmosphere and descends on Halloy. The aim of its approach is, according to the pilot, the White Tower itself. It passes over numerous farms and mining communities in the stretch before the Tower, but shortly it too appears in the viewscreen- a glistening white tower, a citadel built against a mountainside.

Any kind of weapon emplacements?

That I can see? Actually. What is the White Tower currently used for?

Yes, actually. As you get closer, you can spot turbolaser batteries on the walls, and more inside the city.

The White Tower, as far as you know, a fortress and a refuge for the destitute and oppressed. The city within the walls is quite large and the walls appear to have been rebuilt to protect the population.

Okay. I'll prepare for landing.

The transport sets down in a starport docking bay, letting you out onto the surface of Halloy. Soapy nudges your leg to get you to hurry off the transport. He seems eager.

When you disembark, so do the other passengers, though there were few. Those getting off are approached by men in white armor and asked to show identification. This includes you.

I assume I packed some kind of identification (fake or otherwise).

"Priston Hlerk." Denzral greeted. "Pleasure to meet you." He went to hand shake the trooper asking for his identification. (I guess)

You did not; that is what the prep period was for. I will let it slide here at the start, but only now.

"What is your business here on Halloy?" the trooper asks.

oops, I actually didn't think of that. No don't worry about letting it slide. I frakked up, I frakked up. My fault.))

"Oh- er. It appears I've left my identification behind.." He smiled nervously. "I am wanted by the Republic's authorities for crashing my ship through a federal bank, and accidentally stealing several million credits in the process." It was the worst story he could come up with. He had a feeling it wouldn't work. "Figured this would be a good place to buy a new ship and identity.... aye?"

The trooper doesn't buy it. It is too outrageous.

"Are you messing with me?" he says. "I haven't got all day. Tell me your business here or it will be the stockade for you."

Does Denzral have Persuade or Lying?

No and, yes. This is great. Persuade: 3

"Okay then, would you believe I am a Jedi, and I'm here to investigate that big white tower?" Denzral said nonchalantly. "Truthfully, my ship has been impounded by the Republic and they are searching for me, I have had to beg, borrow and steal to get this far out of Republic space. It wasn't easy. Now I will probably have to look for work until I can raise the money to buy my ship back through not so legal channels."

((I can't think of anything really good to say. If he believes he Jedi story more, I'll roll with it I guess. Then again))

((This is a good one...

Elan Sel'Sabagno: You wanna buy some death sticks?
Obi-Wan: "You don't want to sell me death sticks."
Elan Sel'Sabagno: I don't wanna sell you death sticks.
Obi-Wan: "You want to go home and rethink your life."
Elan Sel'Sabagno: I wanna go home and rethink my life.
Obi-Wan: "You want to leave your death sticks with me."
Elan Sel'Sabagno: I wanna leave my death sticks with you.
Obi-Wan: Anyone want to buy some death sticks?))

What Denzral is doing right now is lying, which requires the Lying skill.

Additionally, the skill Persuade is not the same as the Force power. Persuasion the power allows you to pull of Jedi Mind Tricks like Kenobi does in the films. The skill is conversing with a person and convincing them.

Ah well.. lets see what happens with what I said. Should be interesting.
