STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- The White Tower of Halloy

Started by REXXXX59 pages

Is that directed at the prisoner or the King?

Prisoner.

"I don't know!" the lizard says.

"It takes time to send them off," the King says. "We must find them guilty and find somewhere suitable to send them."

"Do you know how long ago the girl was taken?" Denzral asks the prisoner.

"Today! Before you came!"

"What girl are you talking about?" King Evand asks, confused. "I thought you were here searching for raiders."

"I think the strange things going on here will lead me to them."

"There is nothing for you to find!" King Evand says, growing irritated.

"What makes you so sure, King? Your Knights are bringing prisoners through here for one reason or another and are not putting them on record. Then taking them away."

"You haven't even looked at our records!" the King says.

Wait... I was told no girl existed... Was I not...?

Denzral looked like he was about to fall over. "That would take time... Soapy any luck with the footage of the hangers?"

The King is right- you never physically looked at the records yourself! Who told you that the girl did not exist?

Soapy is with you and so not working on the footage any longer, though there is not much more to be gleaned from it.

Did not the King and the other dude (forget the name) tell me that they had no record of the girls capture?

The King did say it, yes. So did Lothar Tull, his aide.

I actually didn't think to check official records... Oops... Think I've been playing the wrong end of the stick here... err where's a deLorean when I need one. If this was a computer game...

Anyway. Advice?

"You are quite right, King, my apologies." Denzral turned and gave a short and curt bow. "I am here searching for Raiders (of the Lost Ark), not the whereabouts of Prisoners in a crime-apprehension system I do not understand," the Jedi Knight paused, looking almost thoughtful; he lowered his voice, "perhaps you'd care to explain it to me." He kept his voice polite and calm.

He had realised he'd let himself get caught on the girl as a possible lead to the Raiders and currently felt like he was chasing Gundarks around the field and it was getting him nowhere very quickly, he remembered his long-past masters words clearly in his mind. 'Patience, a time will come when that will be the greatest ally of all.'

"Before we leave..." He raised his voice and turned to the Prisoner. "What was your crime, Lizard man."

"I can give you whatever you need to understand our system," King Evand says, "as I have pledged. But so far you have only disrespected me. Do not get on my bad side, Jedi Knight."

"I didn't do anything," the lizard says.

"Were you apprehended here on this planet?" He was still talking to the prisoner but he lowered his voice.

He nods.

"Very well."

Sorry for the double post, I am at work now.

Denzral turned back to the King, "Where do you suggest I begin my search for the Raiders?"

"I haven't the faintest idea," the King says, "because you aren't going to find any!"

The King is turning to leave the holding area; he's had enough of this. The Knights by the door are watching you closely as he stomps out.
