can i host it and compete? is that even possible?
I'd have to say no.
Wasnt OV interested in hosting something?

I'm potentially down with that- still MIA for all next week, but then I should have some time to chill, and then things will become hectic again and then relaxed again, so I'll have to gauge it as we get closer to countdown, if this thing actually takes off. Also, hi. I'm almost back. Rejoice?
Good to see ya again.
I would be willing to judge. I don't know a lot about manga or most dc, so I'd do as much study as necessary to make sure I made educated decisions. I have a lot of free time at work, and can study combatants, and read matches there, than post in depth decisions when I get home. I want to participate in the future, but I would like to judge a couple first.

What about a tournament (say herald or high meta level) where we pick, say, 3 characters, but only use one in the actual match scenario? The opponent wouldn't know which we choose beforehand.Give like 10 seconds prep and just run a series of quick, straight forward matches.
If that was the case, I think I'd pass. I like the ability to enhance my characters strengths and cover my characters weaknesses with multiple characters.
Its different, and I may change my mind, but I just think that it would be no different than any Battlezone or regular Vs. Just IMO at least

^ I like that a lot, actually.Redraft each round, or just keep the same characters for the entirety of the tourney?
The goal is just a straight forward, run & gun tourney, with the simplicity of a solid battlezone match, but the organization and talent/competition that tourney's offer.
Which is also why I think, Ambient, your suggestions would make the whole tourney weaker, cause it's just extra complications.
The trick would be to get a well rounded set of three characters to choose from, and then just to debate as best as you can.
If people are interested, it could be fun. I wouldn't mind hosting either.
