Maybe because she was koed by a gut check and it took her six issues to heal from third degree burns? Actions speak louder than words and Gamora's healing factor doesn't have any actions that place it in the same universe as Wolverine's.
Plus that was almost 15 yrs ago when he stabbed her in the gut. Logan only made an assumption that she must have a healing factor like his b/c she was alive and standing later in the story. now b/c it was sooo long ago if we take her having the same HF as logan of the mid 90's then she is still far below the HF of the current logan and his upgraded HF.. notice i said "if".
again logan simply made an assumption of her healing factor he didnt know her actual lvl as a fact..
its the same as when xavier commented and believed he knew logan's HF mutation lvl and he had technology and scans and Xavier was still wrong about his assumptions..

I dont have a problem with Wolverine saying that her healing factor was on par with his BACK THEN but Wolverine healing factor has made a HUGE change since then and its a lot better.

Wolverine healing factor is just better. The guy has been burned all the way down to his adamantium skeleton and healed in 2 to 3 panels.
The guy was dropped in hot metal and had all of the flesh burned off of him and healed in a panel.
Wolverine healing is at least 20 times better than hers.
Its no contest.

She shielded him and moved him away from the sun, but she didn`t heal him or even put out the fire for that matter. He healed under his own powers.
Anyway I dont think the source of Gamoras burns is all that important, at least not to the discussion at hand, that is more a matter for a durability discussion. Her skin boiled and blistered, she likely suffered third degree burns and the lost a good deal of her epidermis. I don`t want to say this superficial damage, sure it hurt like hell but it was largely surface damage. She didnt need to regrow any muscle mass or organs, but it it took her days to heal the burns and regrow her skin. This is the type of damage Wolverine has healed from in mere panels and been back to peak condition. On a few occasions it has taken him a few hours, but we are still talking about healing factor feats literally hundreds of times the power and speed of Gamoras.
