^ Just checked, and yes he started off as evil, but he was portrayed as a good guy for a a period- mainly the 70's, then later went back to being bad again in the 80's.

In terms of tragic monsters, you seem to be mistaking Godzilla for King Kong.

Goji is pretty much on for his own interests, he did have a short heroic streak in the Showa movies when they were more kid oriented.

The first Godzilla film (1954) was a vieled middlefinger to the US. A giant radiation created monster slaugthering innocent Japanese civilians.

This trailer is already better than the whole 98 Zilla put together.

This is shaping up to be my most anticipated film of the year.

Uhhhhh Must avoid all info about this movie so can go into it with as clean a slate as POSSIBLE!

Actually a pretty damn good trailer, but I kind of feel like I've seen the whole thing now.

In the end, Godzilla transforms into Mothra, and carries off the Statue of Liberty to procreate on the Moon.

Definitely nothing implied by the trailer.

That was amazing. My hype was already high, but now it's higher.
