I respectfully disagree. Generously assuming that Tyranitar can move before he is struck, Nidoking will skillfully dodge/parry using his proficient CQC skills and go from there. Also, Tyranitar has pretty short arms.
first off, Rock Polish wouldnt let him run circles around nido after one use. Supersonic is a sound, how's ty gonna block it, holding his fingers in his ears the rest of the match?(which i might add, leaves him wide open 4 a OHKO.) nido is not Bruce Lee, he's far stronger, could Lee pierce diamonds? he is far stronger than any human especially when it comes 2 CQC, where speed is necessary as well as power. ty has the power but lacks speed, nido has both, by the time ty uses Rock Polish nido could already be in his face executing a OHKO move.
gameplay mechanics...& besides u act like ty's gonna b moving at DBZ speeds with that little speed boost, nido'll hav enough time 2 launch the Supersonic without ty dodging it. another thing nido could do to win easily is use Toxic on ty, & then just keep using Double Team. Just let the poison do its job & ty will be finished 4 sure...

I still think Nidoking gets a KO hit in first, but we will play your game.
So, somehow Tyranitar moves first with Rock polish. Nidoking uses Double Team. Or if Nidoking moves first, he uses Taunt.
So, here is what I see happening:
Nidoking uses Taunt.
Tyranitar uses Rock Polish, but it fails.
Nidoking uses Superpower/Horn Drill.
Nidoking wins.
Amiright?
If Nidoking somehow knows to use Taunt and can use it faster than Tyranitar will finish with Rock Polish, maybe.
Of course, you're still clinging to game mechanics. Speed doesn't mean they land the first hit or move outside of gameplay. That is also your entire argument for Superpower OHKOing Tyranitar. So find some new way you think Nidoking will win and I'll prove you wrong tomorrow.

Superpower for in-game, Horn Drill for anime-style. In-game, there is no question that Nidoking wins. Here's my thoughts on the anime-style battle:
Nidoking could negate Rock Polish by using Whirlpool to trap Tyranitar and then KO him with Horn Drill. Using Ice Beam on the floor could also screw up Ty's Rock Polish tactic. Icy Wind will slow Ty down.
Rain Dance + Thunder will be hell. It wouldn't work in-game, but it will work in the anime, because Pikachu KO'd Brock's Onix with the sprinklers in the Gym and a Thundershock. Also, in-game Rain Dance + Thunder cannot miss, and even breaks through moves like Protect.
Horn Drill isn't a OHKO in the anime. Whirlpool has been dodged or simply overpowered and destroyed. It takes a lot of Ice Beam to freeze an entire floor. Takes too long, Tyranitar only needs one hit. Icy Wind can also be dodged.
Pikachu's electric attack still didn't do much damage. Onix was already in pain from the sprinkler system. By the way, stuff like that doesn't happen that often in the anime anymore.

That was a Rydon, plus there is Fissure. Whirlpool needs only to stop him for a second. A quick Ice beam in front of Ty's path would screw him. Dodging wind is harder than it looks. Go outside and try it.
Once is enough for me to use it in this debate. 😉
Fissure isn't a OHKO in the anime either.
Tyranitar can literally destroy that Whirlpool. Or even totally dodge it due to how long it takes.
Tyranitar lacks the ability to step backwards or to the side? When did this happen?
Dodging a large gust of wind is hard, but not something as small and focused as Icy Wind will be.
A lot has changed. Simply being a rock type doesn't make you that weak to rain anymore. See movie Tyranitar being fine after thrown into a lake.

Tyranitar wants to dodge? Dodge a Surf then. It floods the battlefield. Can Tyranitar fly? As for Icy Wind, how about Ty try to dodge a Blizzard instead?
Ice Beam under his feet. Nido family has been shown to be pretty skilled at Ice Beam in the anime (I stopped watching after Johto, btw).
Water doesn't hurt Rock anymore? Well, that's gay.
Blizzard is like, a slightly larger Icy Wind. Surf has been destroyed by Pikachu hitting the base of the wave with its tail.
Pretty good Ice Beam if you can get it to go through someone's foot.
It requires force now. Like Bubblebeam. Water still bothers them but it isn't like it'll demolish them by falling into a puddle or a pond.

Blizzard is only slightly larger? Deceiving name is deceiving.
I still think Surf would nail him, but ok.
Ice Beam hits under Ty's foot, and he slips. You know what I mean.
So, Rain Dance + Thunder will still work, though, right? Also, is Dark-type still completely immune to Psychic-type in the anime? Because Nidoking learns Confusion...

If Pikachu can destroy it, so can Tyranitar.
Tyranitar won't be moving until he finishes Rock Polish. And Nidoking won't ever aim an Ice Beam with Tyranitar moving at that speed.
Yes, but Thunder won't really do much since Tyranitar is a rock type. Yeah, Dark type is immune.

Alright, I'll make you a deal. We can end this without either of our characters getting cheated. What do you say about giving the the anime fight win to Ty, and the in-game fight to Nidoking? We will call both of them close matches. Deal?
