Nidoking vs Tyranitar

Started by ares83451 pages

T'tar would dominate in anime... But not in the game, Nidoking can ohko T'tar with brick break.

I'm putting a competitive mindset on the games. Tyranitar is a sweeper, he'd be thrown in on something he can easily switch in to and Dragon Dance boosting attack and speed. Without a first attack, Nidoking is done for.

Without the competitive, probably Nidoking. But he'd have to have Superpower.

True.

Yeah, my bad I meant this not brick break...

Almost had that agreement before 500 5L, almost ;p

A real fight will have Ttar winning.

Horn Drill is a OHKO in the anime...everytime. i hate how u say 25% speed advantage is slight, but u make it seem like 1 Rock Polish will have ty moving like Rock Lee or some shit. Rock Polish takes more than a second to use, more than enough time 4 nido to use Toxic, Double Team, Earth Power, Brick Break, Horn Drill, Supersonic, Surf, Focus Punch, Iron Tail, Dig, Focus Blast, & Avalanche. All the moves i just named, besides the status-altering ones, are at least super-effective against ty. come to think of it, i havent actually heard u name any attack moves that ty could actually use to win...does he have any REAL moves?(a swipe of his arm isnt actually an attack...)hmm

Prove it. I've never seen Horn Drill OHKO in the anime.

Rock Polish was enough to make a Rhyperior move faster than a Nidoking will normally. What would it do for the faster Tyranitar?

Did you watch the video I posted? It takes two seconds. Double Team is only good for dodging one attack, and if we're going to use Double Team, Tyranitar has it as well.

Stone Edge. With STAB it puts it at a 180 power move in game. Out of game it's flying stones which can even be redirected.

i would prove it if someone could tell me how to post vids. no i didnt see your Rhyperior vid, post it again if u will. Double Team remains until the user launches an attack or is hit, not for just one attack. Stone Edge does 100 damage, so STAB would change it to 150, not 180 & nido's a ground type anyway, so it wont do much damage at all. nido uses Taunt & forces ty to attack, dodges & uses Brick Break finishing him off in one hit. all nido has 2 do to taunt ty is stick out his tongue or something, it surely takes less time than Rock Polish. ty could use Double Team too, but nido could just use Surf or Blizzard. nido also has Disable & Swagger just in case. & tho i already mentioned it Toxic & Double Team would make a battle-winning combo.

Sigh..... I tried....

This is wrong. This fight is a 1v1, meaning that there is no "switching in". That post was irrelevant; Nidoking wins with Superpower in-game.

So he'd win in game. Cool.

Loses this thread though. 🙂

Naw, cuz thread belongs in anime vs, and is therefore breaking the rules. Same scenario as Starkiller vs Kyle Katarn.

So video game characters belong in the anime forum now? Neat.

Tell it to the mods. 🙁

Quit being an idiot. Pokemon is a game originating franchise.

Dude, lose the attitude, would ya?

Right after you lose the stupid. 👆

well this debate is getting absolutely nowhere...i have an idea that could truly end this entire discussion, but it requires all those on ty's side 2 cooperate. all we do is just take turns saying one advantage that the other team's pokemon has over ours. this method tends to end arguments a little bit more quickly, cuz if your opponent says it then they obviously believe it to true. it just requires coopetation from the opposing side is all. here, i'll go..."ty has greater attack than nido" c, that wasnt hard, now u try...

The flaw to this method is that it fails to account for the degree of an advantage. While slightly higher speed would be worth 1 point, mountain busting strength and durability would be 9001 points.... Just as a vague example. 131

Or, we can look at it over all:
Stats; King has 1 better stat. Ttar has 5 better ones. Ttar.
Strength; King can crush bones, tail is destructive and horn is harder then diamond. Ttar can flatten mountains with an arm. Ttar.
Body; King has a steel-like hide. Ttar's is very resilient for it 'not to be harmed by any attack' Meh, tie.
Ttar has a longer reach. Ttar.
Attacks:
Range; King- Earth power2, Focus blast4, Surf2. Ttar- Earth power2, Surf2, Ice beam2, Blizzard2, Dark pulse1.5. Tie.
Close; King- Megahorn2, Aqua tail2, Iron tail2, Focus punch4. Ttar- Avalanche2/4, Ice punch2, Aqua tail2, Payback1.5/3, Crunch1.5. Ttar.
^ Kings Megahorn is amped by its dex. 'All' of Ttars close moves are amped by its dex. Ttar.

Neither knows the move Earthquake & Nidoking is 5 lvl's higher than Tyranitar(to make it an even match-up). Who'd win in a battle?

According to these rules, Nidoking beats Tyranitar with Superpower. I still wonder; why are your feelings are so hurt?

u forgot speed, most effective attacks, least number of attacks necessary to win, all categories nido pwns in. i'll accept that they're both tied in the "ranged attacks" category, but body resilience? nah thats all nido right there steel>>>>>>>rock

edit: speed belongs in its own category cuz it affects other stats
