Nidoking vs Tyranitar

Forgot about this thread.

So Nidoking's horn is hard enough to pierce diamond. Is Nidoking strong enough to pierce diamond? 😮

He has to be, or no one would have ever known that.

Untrue. I think that if his horn were that hard, it would be capable of scratching a diamond. A scratch test is one of the most common tests of which rock is harder than another, I believe.

Nidoking autopsy, remove the horn and test it?

Nidorino may not in fact be > Nidoking. I can't think of an example where an evolution lacks an ability a pre-evolution has, but I believe it has happened.

Tyranitar is better than Nidoking in just about everything. And he still loses to him.

You aren't suggesting that Nidoking is weaker than Nidorino, are you?

Tyranitar is just plain better. And when this thread started, I wished Nidoking could win. Now I'm glad Tyranitar stomps.

Go ahead and ignore it if you want to, but you'll be wrong. Why don't you use that damage calc I posted and see for yourself? Ty gets one-shotted.

This is not a gameplay mechanic limited fight, Spinda. That would be the only way Nidoking is capable of winning, though.

Looks like Nidoking loses to a level 1 rattata with endeavor and quick attack holding a focus sash.

Scyther evolves into Scizor, they have the same total stats. Others get smaller etc.

Dont mind giving King a 1/6 chance in winning.

I admitted Nidoking would win in-game ages ago. Followed by the fact that this isn't a gameplay mechanic fight.

Because a faster, more skilled pokemon with an attack that can pierce your armor and spatter your heart, killing you instantly just isn't enough, huh? His earthquakes aren't as good, and therefore he loses in your opinion.

In gameplay, level 1 rattata > Nidoking. (But not Tyranitar)
