No! What the HELL, man?

Tyranitar does not need his no-limit fallacy to be totally immune to damage from Nidoking.

Wow, proof please?

Here's how it stacks up so far. I have:

- The game proving Nidoking 1HKO's Ty (w/ game mechs)
- The manga proving Ty can be KO'd by Togepi's physical assault (lower canon than the game)
- The pokedex entries stating that Nidoking has a horn that can puncture the rock hide of Tyranitar
- A no-limits pokedex entry

You have:

- A no-limits pokedex entry
- A mountain flattening feat (method in debate)
- a lot of conjecture

Nidoking needs proof that his actions can overcome Tyranitar. It's been 30 pages without any.

Being able to flatten a mountain with one hand, (and it seems without much effort if going by the index descriptions), puts his durability well above mountain level.

A diamond piercing horn is not enough to hurt someone of that level of durability.

Yeah, how about that Togepi owning Tyranitar? Oh wait... Togepi is stronger than Nidoking. *sarcasm* Nidoking couldn't possibly replicate that...

Crystal "In just one of its mighty hands, it has the power to make the ground shake and mountains crumble."

Make the ground shake, and mountains crumble. Earthquake is his method.

Totally invalid. Rattata > Nidoking with gameplay mechanics factored in. IE, ridiculous.
- The manga proving Ty can be KO'd by Togepi's physical assault (lower canon than the game)

-(lower canon than the game)

False, it says it can puncture diamonds, which would not be strong enough to survive the force required to flatten a mountain. IE, Tyranitar is more durable than diamond.
- A no-limits pokedex entry
A fallacy, and probably referring to the environment, as Darkstorm Zero mentioned.

Since when was Tyranitar's hide made out of rock?

And even if it was, who's to say that the rock is not denser than diamond? Example, Ty's mountain crushing landscape changing attacks would pulverise diamond, earth, rock and anything that is standing on it, digging through it, and depending on method - flying over it.

This is utterly pointless. If the strongest thing Nk can topple is a telephone pole, a mountain splattering punch would literally turn NK into a fine red mist, and maybe a few gibbits (like NK's horn in the ground)

Oh, I don't know... Maybe his typing and lack of pokedex description on his hide? Notice that Nidoking has one.

To add to your point, rock type pokemon, who are supposedly made of rock, are often MUCH more durable than any form of rock. Onix, a rock pokemon who, IIRC correctly is stated to be harder than diamonds, burrows through solid rock at over 50 MPH, and eats iron ore and stuff. 😐

I believe 5L is assuming rock typing = normal rock properties, which would be false.

Edit: I was right, he made the assumption based on typing.

Don't get too excited. Nidoking is a poison/ground type, but his hide is stated to be like steel armor. Typing doesn't mean much.

Although, I would love to see that proof about Ty's hide being harder than a rock.

So we assume that he is made out of granite? Kinda like Pikachu is made of Lightning? or that Puffing is actually a poisonous gas cloud with no solid mass?

Thats ridiculous....

edit: If type means so little, hows about we skip the assumptions then, since Tyranitar obviously is not made of stone like an Onyx, especially since it is pliable and moves like skin. It's not segmented like Onyx or Steelix.

And you've yet to answer my question above.

See above. 🙄

The pokedex entries seem to say Onyx is similar to diamonds.

Red:As it grows, the stone portions of its body harden to become similar to a diamond, but colored black.

Blue:As it grows, the stone portions of its body harden to become similar to a diamond, but colored black.

Similar is good enough for our case. Tyranitar is most definiately more durable than Onyx though.

Ok, we know Onix's durability. Now what makes you say that Ty has more durability than him? Explain it to me. Help me understand.

My bad, was Steelix who is said to be harder than diamond.

While Onix tunnels through the earth at 50 MPH, Tyranitar uses it's own body to smash mountains. 😐 Tyranitar's durability feat is superior.

His hand/wrist alone is more durable than trillions of tons of rock by feats. That's how.

Drat! I was just about to call you on that. 😉

simple, to do what he does, Tyranitars require not only the strength, but the durability to withstand it's own power, and it's own attacks. Basically, it requires the capability of withstanding landscape changing attacks in order to execute that much force in one of it's own attacks.

No, the earthquake his hand generated was able to crumble the mountain. Not that it matters, but that move is banned in this fight.

Show me where Tyranitar was banned from using it's hands. Using earthquake is not the source of Tyranitar's strength. 😐 He can simply smack Nidoking, and Nidoking is splattered.

Manga pis yay?
