Prove the bullets in Bayonetta or Final fantasy are at real life speeds? 😐 See how that works? Also, the blaster with a laser sight would be the PINNACLE of redundancy if the laser were not faster than the blaster.

Phasers? 😐 Srsly. We're not at Lasers = bullets = arrows, because stuff in fiction doesn't work how it does irl. Such deconstruction can be enacted ad nauseum. The problem originates with "prove the laser is a laser". K, prove your bullet is a bullet.

Same as saying 'prove that every gun shot in fiction is a real gun shot' theyre something we can compare to real life because we have them in real life. We don't have lasers like that in real life so it only exists in fiction so we have to go by how fast it is in said fiction. Not really, laser pointer is there to aim, laser blast for the shot.

Fine ill play your game. Bullet in FF8. The bullets size and the gun it came from can match up to real gun and bullet. Sound made was that of a real shot. The bullet in motion had a shockwave/heat around it indicating very high speeds, of which it would be being a real shot. Pointless as as ive said, we can compare to real life with guns not with fictional laser guns. Theres nothing to prove how the SSBB shots were at laser speed while there are a few things to say why it isnt..

There's nothing to say it isn't other than the fact that it's visible, which it /has to be/.

Gunshot in FF8, takes two seconds to make it's way to target, comes from a gun unlike what we see today. Must be slow as an arrow.

Similar line of reasoning as to why an advanced robot with subspace bombs that shoots lasers must shoot them as slowly as bullets. 😬

Who is it? Ah, it doesn't matter. He'll never be this cool:

"Is he serious with this Graf? Hiko? I got more badass in a split-end "

The pics speak for themselves.

Hiko does about one stoic move every 20 episodes or so and he's cool?

Seta's breakdown was cooler.

It never takes more than one move. Hiko is epic.

And not one word that proves anything -,- If for the game it had to be seen the speed didnt have to be what it was unless its the same as every other fictional laser gun.

Dramatic effects, the heat/shockwave around the bullet wont be come at anything going at arrow speeds ie over mach speeds when an arrow doesnt get to mach 1. The gun has a similar design to real guns, cant say the same for a laser gun..

You asked me to prove the bullet is a bullet and I did. Asking again for you to prove that the laser shot was is at the same speed as a real life laser.

Dramatic effects, we see a hail of laser fire and Link skate past it casually. It's impossible for a pulse of light to move as slowly as a bullet, which only moves around mach 1-2.

You asked me to prove laser is a laser, and I di-..Sound familiar?

Thats youre argument?
1. Nothing dramatic about it. 2. Fictional lasers are not the same as real lasers. 3. You call any of that proving it? All it is is you saying it is because of real life with no proof. So far you avnt given any proof.

Tis thread is now the epitomy of ugh3.

Moo, were you being thick on purpose? Becuase Charizard does not fly around the earth. He flies in a small consentric circle. 😐 Without being rude..... that was a really retarded thing to say. I assume you were serious becuase you said it like 3 times btw.

Scream, both times you mentioned the camera is moving at the same speed as the the object, so its visible. Speed-based invisibility occurs when our eyes are just too slow to pick someting up, but if our 'eye' (the camera) is moving at the same speed, that is not a problem. Thats the Bayonetta thing. With the sniper the perspective is clearly slowed down for dramatic effect, stopping when it hits Edeas shield and returning to real time, as indicated by the bullet flying off at speeds we can't see. Furthermore, every other time we see a gun in the game, the bullets are too fast to be seen.

Also, Charizard didn't fly into space. Also, prove that poke-earth's ozone layer is as high-up as ours. Also, you did not prove they were lasers. 😐

Cause the scene totally isn't dramatic at all? Fictional bullets are not the same as real bullets.

No, it isnt. No dramatic effects are used as everything is moving at normal speed. Again, no proof that the lasers shots in Brawl are at real life speeds.

We can see that Link and Mario are moving at real speed becuase of how slowly the floor cracks go past.

*facepalm* Watch the scene again, the entire thing is dramatic, and it ends with the heroes outrunning a blast. 😐 Don't see how what speed it's playing it matters, when Link dodges lasers.

Don't see how what speed it's playing it matters

A dramatic scene that doesnt have any dramatic effects, like the bullet taking 2 secs= slow motion for dramatic effects. That scene was normal so the lasers were going as fast as they looked.

Prove that scene was at normal speed? Lasers looked like lasers to me. Visiblity =/= slow.

Prove the scene with Ultimecia is slowmo? Clearly the bullet's as slow as it looks. 😬

See how that works? Can't have it both ways, boyo. Welcome to VG versus. That way lies Nihilism.

Either accept feats, or continue to downplay and deconstruct, and I shall do the same, and no feat counts ever.

Guess the game continues.
Like what Nephthys said, we can see the speed by how fast the cracks go by. Proof that the scene is at normal speed with no dramatic effects. 1

Shockwave/heat that could not be from any less then over mach speeds. Proof that it cant be slow ie 2 seconds. 2

2/2 down. Can have it both was as the facts says so 😐 you can do whatever you like as long as you have the facts and proof to back it up.. Should go by what GK said and prove that the lasers are as fast as real lasers without saying it has to be because of real life. (especially as we dont have laser guns)

1. You're using dramatic effects like it's some requisite for speed now. 😐 Not every "dramatic effect" is as blatantly obvious as a matrix esque stop and spin.

Also, speed ran = speed dodging? No. We clearly see Link in one place, then move, than a laser hit where he was.

2. Friction in fiction doesn't work like friction in real life, try again. Bullets = slow as arrows.
It's still impossible for a laser to move as slowly as a bullet, if things in fiction work at all similarly. If they do, laser is faster, and bullet is bullet speed, if not, bullet is slow as an arrow, or slower.

Can go on like that.

2/2 slain.
