I still will look forward to the new movie, but man Im bummed that the franchise will be abandoned instead of saved.

personally i don't like the change in it where the alien comes from.

I agree it confuses things a little, but overall its a better movie. With richer character development that makes you care more when a character is killed. I think it makes more sense.

AVP and AVP2 can f*** right off, though. 😛

What I like about Alien3 - DC is atht it's not really about the alien, but about the people on in the prison. It's much more a character piece in comparison to the other alien movies.

What I used to hate about ALien3 that it was darn near a replica of Alien and I always wondered: WTF!!! The only good thing about it then what Ripley dying, so no more sequels could be made... Unfortunately a few years laters... one of my favourite directors made the worst sequel ever... beyond repair as well.

No, Alien3 DC is a wonderful addition to the saga.

It that thing had Gopher smarts and could have burrowed too, Ripley and co wouldnt have lasted half an hour.

Maybe that's the reason Ridley decided to go for something completely different... I'm sure the studio demanded the space jockey people were collecting gophers. And in one of them... yes, yes. Alien the Prequel: Attack of the Gopher Xenomorphs.

Sounds perfectly likely, to mine ears.

I hear they asked Michael Bay to do the Alien Prequels now. 😉
