It comes off looking way worse than it is in than the actual film. It's almost humerous with their short but overly quick movements. Not to mention Battle of the Heroes does not fit there at all. Although the editing on the lightsabers is great.
Edit: It appears that Vader's lightsaber is still pink in the BR... Ugh.

They fixed the color in a few shots, but overall the lightsabers were untouched...when they should have been corrected.

though adywan has done a fine job cleaning up the overall picture, he has no business making new cuts, edits or changes.
I don't hate all the changes Lucas has made, while the rest I loathe them, but I'm a firm believer that this is his work and his creation, and sadly he can chose to write it (as the PT turned out) and change it at his will 😬 ... kinda like how the Canon works.

It wouldn't hurt if the original cuts were released on BR though 😉

Considering that Adywan has done amazing work with these films, I don't find it arrogant. He's also done color correcting without any other edits, if that tickles your fancy. You can get the best looking OT possible, and it's free of the extra cuts.

That's ridiculous... They said they fixed the lightsaber problems. Hell, they showed us a similar scene with the crrect color... Talk about lying to the fans.

I really have no probelm with them... However, I never understood how so many purists love adywan's cuts but hate any changes Lucas makes...
Anyway, I was wondering what do you guys prefer Yub Nub or Victory Celebration?
Personnaly I find Victory Celebration to be far better and a far more fitting ending to the saga.

I was just on another forum and someone posted a list of changes and a list of things not fixed with epiv. One that they listed as not being changed was the millennium falcon not doing anything after Han says he know a few maneuvers. Seriously you wanted this changed!! Fu! They did say lukes saber was still green on the falcon?? So does that mean the the official site lied to us by posting this?

I like the victory celebration better. It just sounds better and more suiting. And after the bombardment of ewoks yup nub was too much to take

I wouldn't call myself a "purist", more like a "realist". I don't mind edits, as long as they make sense and are done in a professional manner.

I like them both. However, the Victory Celebration went a little too far in the latest release. Showing a simultaneous victory across all planets was a little ridiculous...not to mention showing Tattooine celebrating since they weren't under Empire control. A mixture of the two endings would be preferred. The Yub-Nub first, and then merging into a more subdued Victory.

Why was it ridiculous? All the systems were celebrating the defeat of the empire!! and tatooine was NOT under the republic, but they were most definatly under empire control or jurisdiction.

The point being, that the defeat had just happened and we're to believe that all these planets are celebrating the downfall of the Empire right then and there?

OMG! Good news travels fast! You could say the same thing with the end of epiv when they have the medal ceremony. Shouldn't they be moving their asses out of there PDQ? And with the end if Jedi that the whole empire just gives up with the end of the emperor?
