Star Wars lights up London
The flesh colors for me are fine and have not changed. The light sabers are a vast improvement over the DVD release. Vaders saber in empire is a bit pink on certain shots in the carbon freeze chamber but I can chalk that up to the orange in the carbon freeze creating the color difference. And lukes saber is fixed on the falcon. Some of the saber effects still look not as good as later for lukes saber on the falcon but for me I can chalk that up to a 20 year old crystal that needs replacing. As said before the mattes around the ships in anh when they escape the death star are pretty much gone.
Just a quick note for the Canadian and maybe the American version of the full box set. I feel the packaging is quite cheap. The discs are NOT placed in a hard plastic cover where you can push the center and the disc pops out. They are in a cardboard sleeve that is a pain to get out. And where my episode 2 disc is I think there may of been some glue cause I now have some scratches on the top of the disc with the label that I can now see straight though. I will be exchanging it right away here.

You're creating excuses for their shotty work. Luke's lightsaber on the Falcon is a mistake that they should have fixed for the DVD release. It's an EASY fix too. Same goes for the pink saber in the freezing chamber.
Some fans are just bending straight over for Lucas. This was a sloppy release. I'm not even talking about the unnecessary additions, just the way they neglected to correct all the color timing and lightsabers. Cardboard sleeves for the discs? They are asking for them to get all scratched up. I would never in a million years pay the ridiculous price for this set.

Too bad to hear about the packaging.
I guess the European release it's better packaged (it's blue plastic) though a lot less flashy

I exchanged it without any problems. And at least I got it for free cause I had 100 dollar gift card from best buy. So I don't feel too bad. The pros out weigh the cons. CG yoda ep 1. Much better picture ep 1 the DVD always seemed hazy. Ep 4 lukes saber on the falcon for the most part fixed. The red and green boxes around the ties in the death star escape removed. amd better sound on all and picture too. but I'm thinking I may go get some bluray covers somewhere and just make my own covers so My discs last longer. I know it's stupid but I guess that is what I have to do.

A lot of colour timing was fine on this...just not in ESB so much with the sabres.
As for the packing the UK version is the blue plastic...really nice.
Certainly sounds like the Canadian lot got dumped on, if thats what they got. Sorry to hear that, Darth.
And our version I got for £60...which rules.
