Mara vs Jango Fett

Different lines mean different things.

Is the issue regarding Palpatine real? Why not just discount the line about Anakin being there, as it is the only thing contradicting the film?

a) It's the opinion of a Jedi Master, one much more skilled than Mara.
b) Doesn't mean it's not canon. It's not contradicted in any way.
c) He was shooting. As he was shooting, his hand came off, along with the blaster. He was as good as dead anyways. Not that it matters, because it's simply your interpretation of the fight.

Mmm, somewhat more skilled. She's on the Jedi council, and was outfighting Jacen who after her death was considered the second best duelist in the galaxy.

Less force power but quite possibly in the same swordwork league.

Hey, for that matter Mace didn't use all his tools in the fight- what if he force-pushed Jango or did something else Jango had no defense against? He happened to only use saber but a Jedi has many more options.

Skill has nothing to do with it. Particularily when he then turns around and starts talking about things that never occured. Either he's lying, remembering it wrong, he's insane or he's smoking something. Either way it makes everything he says very, very fallible.

Its canon that thats what Windu wrote in his diary about a dream he had which defy past events. Canon, this makes it not.

He was shooting at him with a blaster, slowly I might add, which is something so pathetically easy for jedi to deal with a teenaged padawan can do it. In fact they do.

1.30 Notice how that boy deflects dozens of rapid shots in quick succession, rather than the, what, 4? shots that made Jedi Master Mace Windu 'parry desperately'.

Yes, clearly he was having trouble there. The guy really pushed him for all of the 6 seconds of intense, nail-biting combat between two Titans of this mortal coil. 😐 Yes its my interpretation, but the thing is, my interpretation is backed up by something other than one throwaway line that should obviously not be looked at seriously.

From this small segment, we gather that Mace holds Jango in high regard. The man who beat down Sidious explcitly states that Jango was good. Good implies that Jango can beat him.

These three words are another fundamental part of my opinion of Jango. Not only did he make one of the greatest Jedi ever bend over backwards to deflect his shots, he did it multiple times. [b]Multiple times. One shot would be lucky. Two shots would be. But multiple times he did this. Multiple times did Windu succumb to awkward, unreliable manoeuvres.[/b]

And finally, we come to desperately. Desperately implies that he is doing something that he normally wouldn't do. Desperately implies that his life in danger.

Ultimately, Mace Windu would only do something desperately if [b]he wasn't in control. He didn't control the fight, Jango did. Or rather, neither of them did.[/B]

Jango Fett - with his guns, jetpack, rockets, and starship cannons - had to haul ass when Obi-Wan came after him. He got raped in front of his son a few seconds after got on Windu's bad side. There's a reason for this, and it's not PIS.
