*Bump* Just to finally post those scans of Eclipsed Mon El (Or as he was called then, Lar Gand) vs Superman I've been procrastinating on for a year now..

First, just to establish Lar Gands power levels, they've fought before:

And Lar Gand also held his own against Lobo, on more then one occasion, so Lar Gand is right around Cap and Supes power levels.

And now, the fight:

Supes is already fighting while near suffocation.. Argue an Eclipso amp giving Captain Marvel a disadvantage against Superman, and it actually hurts Cap more then helps as Supes had the same disadvantage from the get go, but was also on the verge of blacking out.

Back in the thread, Captain Marvel vs Eclipsed Superman was used by Superman supporters as proof that an all out Superman has an edge on Cap, while skeptics argued it's not a valid comparison because Eclipso amps characters.

So, I'm posting these as a direct comparison of how Superman did against Eclipsed Lar Gand, who's every bit the equal of Superman and Captain Marvel, as my initial scans of Superman vs Lar Gand prove (And I can provide other scans supporting this.)

Basically, Eclipsed Superman = Eclipsed Lar Gand, because they're both Eclipso, and they're in possession of comparable bodies. This in effect becomes a comparison of who did better against Eclipso, which looks more favorably on Superman in this case (Especially considering he was seconds from blacking out due to suffocation)

^ Except Lar Gand =/= Captain Marvel since he doesn't have Billy's lightning. Which is an important consideration in a Superman vs. Captain Marvel thread.

Cap had the benefit of his lightning against Supermans body, though.

Whatever amp Eclipso gives, there's no real evidence he can negate Supermans magic weakness..

Granted, it may not be people "here" on KMC, and it may not even happen until someones googling up stuff and browsing the archives 20 years from now, but "people" will listen if you're right. 😄

So, what does everyone think of the Eclipsed Lar Gand vs Superman anyways? For some reason, everyone posts Cap vs Eclipsed Supes, but this fight almost never gets put up even though it's a pretty good feat.
