She got some character development and they're ignoring it.
OH, and they're also being sketchy about her standard equipment. First she has a lasso and lost the bracers, then she's carrying around a golden bo-staff, then she has the bracers again, then they're gone, then back, etc. etc.

DC has so screwed up with Donna Troy, she needs to be erased from existence and started over. Trying to understand her true origin just gives you a headache.

when Cyber explained and told Daken his origin in a flash back.
apparently magically he also lost his HF that was evident in his wolverine battles early in his career... he never had one and that is why he had adamantium on his skin instead of bones,,, also ignoring the fact that he wanted logan's adamantium so he could have both since he had learned the bonding process secret.
anyways overall i hate inconsistencies its the worst thing a comic company can do to alienate readers and past writers..
example completely ignoring Superboy's origin and DNA scans just to turn him into a lex and superman clone even though his origin is more complicated and had by the time had 10 yrs of consistent back story and on panel verification from cadmus and superman was even present when they did DNA scans and explained how superboy isnt actually a kryptonian clone

if that was true he wouldn't have have completely ignored an rewrote already established origin story for superboy for a more popular idea in the teen titan story..
and this myth of comic writers knowing more then fans is old and a utter lie.. even if it is geoff jones..
the only one that knows more of a chararter is the actual main writer who created them and wrote them for yrs consistently after that random writers get their pens in them and make newer stories that sometimes go against the main creators idea and even contradicts already established history. its an insult to them and to fans.
what they did to superboy is the same to what they did with madhatter and weather wizard when a dumb writer was hired to write them and didnt know how their powers and tech worked.. she actually gave weather wizard innate powers in her run and no costume or wand. gave telepathy to madhatter to fight off another actual established telepath.
she might as well should have had the trickster walking on air with socks or flying superman style

johns knows more about dc history than a lot of fans. its nothing to do with any myth. the man read the silver age of some of the biggest characters in dc. he regularly references old issues in his books, and brings back characters most people hadn't even heard about.
he brought teen titans to the fore, and during it retconned superboy's origin, and tbh, i think his current origin is a lot better than his old one.
not all retcons are "insults to the fans".
and superboy, as a concept, was around long before Kesel picked up a pen.

examples:
mephisto deal
wanda
zero hour
infinite crises
things that involved time travel or reality altering to explain the change not just a sudden change and no explanation.. when those types of changes are made they are viewed more as mistakes and not actual retcons and even it is done purposely it shows how much lack of respect a writer has to the character's continuity and past writers.. he just writes it in and doesn't explain how the change occurred or acknowledges the past.

the superboy one was a heavily modified origin, referenced in several books (even in actual Superman books). It's DC canon now that Superboy is the product of Superman and Lex. That's a retcon.
At least DC TRIES to fix it's canon. Marvel just pretends shit didn't happen on an absolutely MASSIVE scale.
again it isnt a retcon it was simply ignored and given a second version of his origin even if it was perpetuated into other titles it doesnt make it okay..
might as well have certain characters power changed inexplicably and have it continuously happen in other titles and appearances and say see thats his power b/c its happening everywhere.. that doesnt make it okay.
DCU does this alot with its characters which is why their powers and origins and even names change and why they have to have actual company sponsored retcons and not just a single writer's retcon/take on the character in order to fix the mistakes "he" caused and effected the character history and many others indirectly..
and yes DC does tend to ignore the problems for a decade or two b4 they acknowledge it.
agian tell me again what company sponsored event corrected superboys origin? was it infinite crisis? or hypertime or zero hour? i can tell you it was none of them..
thats like me saying batman's name mysteriously changed to robert and no one explains why but it goes on for 10 yrs..
or batman's parents killer was joker in a flash back but doesnt answer how that could be when we know it wasnt..
