Hmm so the Jedi Knight's boffing partner, Kira Carsen talks about the Emperor being dead and how there is still a war on after he's dead and how nothing really changed with his dead.
And behold, in typical SW fashion, her romance dialogues eventually descend into questions like "Why shouldn't the Jedi rule?" Because well . . . love is evil.

As a student of literature, what do you think of all these dialogues and storylines, Veneficus?
I really wouldn't consider myself a student of literature. I mean I read a lot, but that's about it.
For the most part they seem serviceable for an MMO, most of the side quests and stuff at least. I'm obviously unimpressed with Revan's dialogue. They might sound better when you hear them voiced since the kind of emotion a VA puts into the dialogue can have a big impact. Although Revan's VA sucks. However, when you compare it to other Bioware games like Mass Effect or Baldur's Gate, it's not even close.
In terms of storyline . . . yeah, I'm not seeing it. They basically cherry picked with established canon and turned the Emperor into a ridiculously overpowered Force god with absurd goals. It gets even worse because from what I can tell from some of the dialogue, the Emperor's death doesn't even do anything. I mean I know it's an MMO . . . but like, things just keep going on same as before after he dies. This massive threat to all life in the galaxy turns out to be completely unimportant. That and they made him so powerful, I find it utterly bizarre that some random Jedi Knight is going to be able to take him down.
And obviously my thoughts regarding Revan's storyline are almost completely negative. They did all the things I didn't want to them to do. The only redeeming factors is that Revan mentions the Emperor somehow damaged his connection to the Force (so they didn't take down Revan with all of his guns so to speak) and that he had the badass level of will power required to be the Emperor's ***** for 300 years and not give anything up, even go so far as to force the Emperor into holding off his invasion by manipulating his mind.
Well it does take four players to take down Revan. And these players are the equals of the JK, who will later on take down a guy who makes Nihilus look like a gnat... Still, I agree. It's a terrible end for Revan's story arc. However, I understand why they did it. Our characters need to not be in the shadow of the KotOR characters. And Revan casts a very long very dark shadow.

Good observation. They should have either given Revan a huge role in this game or left him out altogether. Instead, they gave him a retarded role. Also, I don't recall where I see the Emperor dying. I believe he transfers his essence as well. All in all, this game caters to the KOTOR ignorant because I'm not sure how anyone who played the KOTOR games can see this as anything other than a failure.

See I never wanted Revan to be in TOR. Once they revealed it was 300 years after KoTOR. I was totally cool with Revan not being in it. However, since it took place 300 years after KoTOR II I figured Revan must have severely wounded the Emperor or did something very damaging to the Empire to stop them from invading while the Republic was at its weakest. Think about it, the Republic at the end of KoTOR II is in shambles, just barely getting back on its feet. The whole of the Jedi consist of the Exile and a few chump trainies. Why wouldn't you invade during that time?
Originally posted by LuciusIf I recall correctly, the Empire wasn't ready to attack until 300 years after KOTOR and the only reason it was moving its plans up was the finding of the Star Forge. Since Revan destroyed that, the plans stayed as usual. Yea, I thought Revan held them at bay for 300 years but ultimately, his disappearance was meaningless and there was no reason to cast him in this game unless he had a pivotal role.
