Still hunting, but I did find this interesting tidbit from TFN.

TOR Codex
Revan: The Republic hero known as "Revan" had a turbulent past. As a Jedi general in the Mandalorian Wars, he led Republic forces to victory; as Darth Revan, corrupted by the will of the Sith Emperor, he became the Republic's deadliest enemy.

Cool, the KOTOR games suggest he was corrupted already on Dantooine and further on Malachor and the Emperor just finished the job.

BioWare keeping Revan alive for the sole purpose of providing another character for mobs to kill would be both tragedy and waste. There's no two ways about it. It'd be like revealing Luke Skywalker was alive in Legacy, only to shortly thereafter have him killed off by a group of Imperial Knights.

So, with luck, there's more going on here. I don't think BioWare's silly enough to think such an ignominious end is fitting.

I mean, come on, if BioWare ever made a Mass Effect MMO, I don't think they'd allow mobs to **** all over a maddened Commander Shepard. Exactly the same thing, here.

no

Gideon, your link has people suggesting that the Revan who is killed is a fake.

Has anyone heard anything on that?

I realize this amuses you, but the download failed, and I haven't seen ze spoilerz.

Some people say it was the leader of the Revanite clan.

"If I recall correctly, the "imposter" Revanite cult leader is encountered in a Sith story mission. I forget which class. The Revan here is the same from the Taral V flashpoint. The Republic flashpoint is chronologically first, after which Revan heads to the Foundry as seen here.

These flashpoints are "midgame". At PAX last year when we first got to play them, my character was around level 36. The Revanite mission comes earlier when you get to Dromund Kaas."

Hurm. mmm

I mean really in terms of story and accomplishment what is the point of KOTOR I and II? Revan and his party are all dead and failures, even his redemption was a failure. The Exile and her party are failures and all dead. They couldn't save the Republic, they couldn't reform the Jedi, they couldn't keep the Mandos with the Republic and Jedi. They've all failed, there is no victory, no silver lining. Everything we did in KOTOR I and II, it was all pointless. Heck the only positive thing seems to be that Revan and Bastila started a family line but with Satele probably going to be killed that will be the end of that too. The whole purpose of this game seems to be to take every legacy from KOTOR I and II and have players beat it to death with a crowbar.

My thoughts exactly.
