If you could rip apart space ships, why not do it?

Lol.

Love it when you feel the need to jab at me indirectly because you're miffed.

I ceased to be miffed the moment I realized you were trolling. You should have played your hand closer to the chest. uhuh

SM
It's almost endearing.

Not nearly as endearing as your inability to properly discuss anything that involves a disagreement with someone who doesn't share your particular biases. It's like that neighborhood kid you know who has a speech impediment and can't properly pronounce the letter R but it's so cute that you can't help but talk to him and try to get him to say more words with R's in them and then you give him some candy in order to lead him to the blacked out van and then you prop a shoebox up with a stick in the back of the van so that when he sneaks in you pull the stick and

wait a minute, my lawyer said I couldn't divulge this. 😐

Good, so I'm right in the end. Again, I don't know why you can't just say "Yes Blax, you were right about TFU outselling KOTOR, and leave it at that. Why should I care about the reasons for TFU outselling KOTOR when I think KOTOR is a better game anyway?

2. Your point leads the discussion nowhere, so repeatedly pointing it out without intending to actually help the discussion is wrong.

How is it wrong?I don't give a shit about your discussion with Gideon, and I'm not obligated to. Is there a rule on KMC saying that I'm not allowed to comment on discussions? That I can only post if what I'm saying furthers some discussion, that isn't even relevant to the thread topic (last time I checked, the thread topic wasn't "which era is more interesting, the old republic era or the newer eras"😉?

Show me these rules, or gtfo out of my face.

Basically, if you don't understand what the point is, jumping in feet first to point out what is already stated and obvious is kinda... wrong. You feeling it here?
I don't care about your discussion. My point wasn't related to yours and Gideons. The world doesn't revolve around you, etc. Deal with it.

Neph, do you think that the references to eastern spirituality are valid? SW has generally stayed much closer to Good/Jedi vs. Evil/Sith, without thinking so much about questions of where the Dark Side comes from. Off the top of my head, the only parallel example I see in canon is Veregre&Potentium in Traitor.

He is quite impressive yes.

I think there is a definate undercurrent throughout the mythos. Yoda suggests that falling to the darkside can be as simple as losing control of yourself and your emotions. There is definately room to expand upon this concept within the framework we have. The ideas are there and it would be very interesting to explore. I have to admit that nerdily, while reading it I was already writing scenes in my head.

I'd like to be your Darth Sexy for this post, but I can't find it within me to be obsequious.

I wonder if I could convince DS to provide a sycophantic post for me.

Don't get me wrong. I love his idea of the force. I just believe that the True Sith were always ment to be an external threat.

I choose to interpret that like so: Z. is not sorry because his newfound love for this young lad doesn't exceed his love for me.

You'd still be on ignore if I were still angry. You've been my disciple for far too long for me to abandon you because of a difference of opinion.

Your lickspittle nature is magnetic.

What were you saying about misconstruing things? lol

Mara smiled back. "Pretty obvious, isn't it, once you see it. The Force isn't just about power, like most non-Jedi think. It's also about guidance: everything from those impressive future visions to the more subtle realtime warnings I sometimes think of as a danger sense. Trouble is, the more you tap into it for raw power, the less you're able to hear its guidance over the noise of your own activity."

"Yes," Luke murmured, so many puzzles suddenly coming clear. He had often wondered how it was he could rebuild Darth Vader's personal fortress while Master Yoda had become winded doing something as relatively simple as lifting an X-wing from the Dagobah swamp. Clearly, Yoda had understood the choices far better than his upstart pupil.

And even in the short time since Luke had decided to try that same choice he'd already seen glimpses of why Yoda had chosen that path. Subtle bits of guidance, sometimes occurring as little more than vague and almost subconscious feelings, had been showing up more and more: protecting him from a quick capture back at the Cavrilhu Pirates' asteroid base, or quietly prompting him to accept Child Of Winds's assistance, which had led directly to this cavern and the pride-motivated aid of the Qom Jha. "I was on Iphigin a couple of months ago helping Han with some negotiations," he said. "The Diamala at the talks told Han that Jedi who used as much power as I did always ended up slipping over to the dark side.

"They may be right," Mara agreed. "Not all Dark Jedi come from botched training, you know. Some of them slip into it all by themselves."

You mean you weren't trolling?
I don't mean that as a pejorative; I mean it to embody the definition of one who is simply being intentionally obtuse for humorous purposes.

Tell me you weren't actually being dishonest... to further your argument?

Honestly, I'm not trying to be hostile. I genuinely just don't see the point of contention here.

If I had said something like "TFU outsold KOTOR because it's a better game", than I could understand why someone would feel the need to point out that comparing the two games is apples to oranges.

But, I never made such a deceleration, or even an implication. Ergo, I don't see why I need to be told the reasons why TFU outsold KOTOR.

I don't care about your discussion. My point wasn't related to yours and Gideons. The world doesn't revolve around you, etc. Deal with it.

So here's what I gathered from your post:

You were right about something which we all stated was obvious (Namely, TFU selling more copies than KotOR, even though the argument at hand was not about that per se).

You clumsily attempted to bait Neph over a perceived contention of above fact.

You get all rawr on me because I called you out.

Insert I don't care yet I replied to all this, where does it say I cannot be ignorant of a discussion and yet still attempt to clumsily participate on one minor aspect of the greater whole, blah blah blah...
This is even better when you consider that I'm the one being accused of trolling around here.

I know you're not trying to be hostile. Joking aside, I'm fairly certain DS is the only one who is {which is what landed him a temporary spot on my ignore list to begin with}. The fact of the matter is that he, Janus, Neph, and Lucius have all formed an immensely strong connection to this game. Dissatisfaction with certain story elements manifest in different ways.

I'm getting all rawr because this is the second time in recent memory I've had to tell you off for misconstruing one of my statements, the last time being the in the battlebar, regarding TOR game.

I don't think you're trolling, I just think you're being combative and confrontational in a situation that doesn't call for it.

It's also occurred to me that someone else made a similar observation about your posts in one of the vs. threads not too long ago. Was it Zampano?

Attachment leads to the dark side, young padawan. There's your reason. Janus is a Sith.

Are you sure my beat down of you is what landed me on ignore?
