there is this movie called one eye it looked okay but i fell asleep.. it was a retelling of the viking god myths tied to a more realistic human story where the legend grew from a single one eyed warrior..

english style comedy sucks as does story telling... yeh, i said it.. mr. bean can kiss my butt... with his fast forward camera trick that wasnt funny in the 30's and 40's with charlie chaplin and it isnt funny now..
other movies that suck was charlie and the chocolate factory and the red balloon.. 😈

While I'm not a huge fan of Mr. Bean, you clearly have shit taste in film.
Valhalla Rising wasn't as bad as I originally thought it would be, but the director tried to mix an art film with a Viking story; it kind of worked; kind of didn't. It does have several vicious killings/fights and one drug induced male-on-male anal-rape, so that's a plus, imo.

powder blue was a pretty good too.. i take it you only liked closer b/c it had english euro ppl in it.. a lot of the movies had depth all accept for barb wire but i already explained why i picked it.

I understand that but you are missing the point. Some of the Viking people did meditate, but the word meditate as far as I've read has never been used, so you have to extroplate. Heres an example from another Saga.
A king asks a wizard to go to Iceland to check to see if its magically guarded. The wizard travels there in his spirit and comes back and tells the King it was. This really could be an example of meditation its just that the person believed that he was travelling there in spirit when all he was simply doing was visualising.
Even today if you train hard enough you can create self-induced halluciantions via meditation and you can simulate the effect of being able to fly out side your body. If somebody in Norse saga were to do that they're not going to say he was meditatng they're going to say he sent his spriit out of his body and was flying about the place. I understand your point and its a very good one but I don't even think you got the point I was making.
You also have to bare in mind that the context of the story was that he wasn't sleeping he was in trance. If he was merely sleeping he would have been woken up.
