Super-Ultimate-Mortal-Kombat-Turbo-Ex-Arcade-Tournament-Komplete Edition?

🙄

still infinitely better that the crap Capcom pulls

Didn't give a crap about most of that DLC then, certainly don't give a crap about them now. Unless one of my friends gave me this like UMVC3 when I didn't have to buy it, awesome but no way is NetherRealm raping my wallet Capcom-style.

no isn't, it's the exact same game that just happens to have the DLC on disc, like every other "complete/game of the year" edition.

In no way is this anything like Crapcom.

You don't have to buy it if you already have the game

I hope this is just a one time deal and the Japanese fighting game companies haven't created a global trend. I personally don't mind but people are already complaining about how they spent an extra 30+$ on all the DLC for it to come free with this version.

IMO, if you love the games enough to buy it, then buy it.

Lol at people complaing about Capcom still

with what happen with Marvel vs Capcon 3 is'nt a new thing.

Yeah.. Plus it's not like the "Komplete Edition" makes the original MK9 obsolete, like how UMvC3 and SSF4 make MvC3 and SF4 obsolete. You're still able to play online with those who get the Komplete Edition, so you're not left in the dust or anything if you don't buy the new version.

This is not as comparable to what Capcom does as some are making it out to be. Capcom games have the habit of not releasing any of that stuff as DLC when they repackage their game, shafting the original owners. And what? I think it's more than evident the DLC fighters Netherrealm made were after the release; pretty much anything other than the intial pre-order bonuses was new. Anyway, I bought all the DLC already, so I'm good.

tl;dr: You're kind of making a big deal here over nothing Nemesis.

Also, this.

Exactly! Don't make excuses, just buy the game if you want it. I love how people are sayin this isn't an equivalent of Capcom or ASW, cuz it's their favorite series, now. It's the same thing😆

Newsflash! Their is no such thing as a GotY version of a fightin game. If you bought this game and the DLC when it was 1st released, and then this version came out, you still lost out almost 40$. Which is the point of the populous rage.

And if you could keep your version of MVC3, BBCT, or SFIV and play with people who had the later versions, you would be at a 100% complete total disadvantage. It's why the Japanese don't make the different disc releases cross compatible. There is no point.

Newsflash! There is such thing as a Complete Edition (such as GTA IV, Red Dead Redemption, etc) that pack the original game plus DLC all on the same disc.

but you're not supposed to buy this new version at all if you already have the game since if cross compatible

There is a point when the game can be tweak via updates or DLC, or when the game isn't rush out of the door or planned ahead to be obsolete just to keep milking it.

This isn't anything like Capcom, no matter how blind you are to not see it.

Anyone who already have the original disc will be able to play with anyone buying this one. I don't see the point in crying when a game is re-released with incentives at a budget price... that is just be retarded

Exactly. ^^ If the original MK9 was incompatible with the Komplete Edition online like MvC3 and UMvC3 are and so forth, then I'd admit Netherrealm made a complete Capcom move, but that wasn't the case (at least, not as much as it's been made out to be by some).

Agreed 100%. Man knows his stuff.

People say, I spent 90$ on the game and all the content. Just for it all to be released in a bundle for 60$, or less, a few months later. I should have waited for the "Komplete Edition." Same lame mess spouted by others when it came to UMVC3. It's literally the same issue 90% of the Joe Blows complained about when Capcom did it.

The bit about cross compatibility is also VERY true as well. I didn't see many complain about that issue, either. Since it's common knowledge on why you DON'T do that. Heck, I didn't see anyone here at KMC complain about not being able to play MVC3 with people who have UMVC3. Anyone who's played SFIV knows they don't want Vanilla Sagat or Zangief in Super. It was also explained, to an exhausting degree, that MS and Sony had DLC limitations and that those games could not legally be DLC Updates.

We see what constant DLC patches do to the community with MK9 as a prime example. The scene is pretty close to death, already, because there's a patch every week. Games like MVC and BB have 2 patches at the most. I can garauntee that 3/4 of the consumer base DO NOT have the latest version of MK9.

hahaha

you guys are comedians,

trying so desperately to diminish or right out justify a dick move.

Gotta hand it to you.

Your fanaticism is relentless.

Somebody's mad. Your rage amuses me. Please continue.

None of the games you named are fighters, which is my point. lol

And you've missed the another point. And I mean completely.

lmbao Yeah, they took so much more time with MK9 then everyone else did. The patches every week are all in everyone's mind. Not to mention you just showed you aint listenin to shit I or Frisky have said. But keep goin.

You keep tellin yurself that. What ever makes you look like you aint hatah, son.

O'course, and I'll just pretend like that was the major concern everyone had when they brought points to the Capcom situation. 😆
And if you've read any of my posts, you know I hate Capcom, right now. They can't do shit right. But I'm not finna let the hate blind me and be a fool to the facts. Sorry son, you gotta hold that L to ya'chest, cuz you lose.

way to shield yourself behind the Hate Capcom bandwagon.

It's you who missed the point of the re-release by trying to compare it to Capcom's crap when it clearly isn't

👆

Sure. Unlike the rest of you, I'm displeased with Capcom for all the right reasons and was disgusted way before everyone else was. I didn't miss any points, I just didn't care about'em. I know the cases aint exactly alike, but they share a major point. If you bought the 1st game, you lost money. The only thing people complained about.

I can go across the internet or browse this very forum. No one complained about anything else but them feelin like they were jipped. Now cuz it's MK, we'll act like all the other issues nobody cared to mention matter, too.

I take Darkstalkers being one of the right reasons 131

...not exactly as you losing money when the first game came out and later on getting a price cut, because is bound to happen when you buy something when is first out, as when a game is release, and then a rehash version, incompatible with the first one, rendering the previous one obsolete is released in such short time.

MvC3 and UMvC3 are effectively two games when it should had to be only one and the same

It's not the same situation with MK, hence the GOTY/Complete Edition analogy.

I understand people complaining about losing money, but both situations are completely different.

The most important of them all.

You spend 60$ a game and then 30+$ on all the DLC. Only for a few months later, the same exact game, with the 30+$ DLC will come in a package for 60$. Not to add the other bonus stuff that comes fref with the game. Sounds like, you shoulda waited for that version if you don't enjoy the series enough.

It couldn't have been one cohesive game. UMVC3 upgraded far too much. You have to remember, Capcom is not makin this game for casuals, in the long run. The game has to have decent competitive standards, nigh-immediately after release. It's a game with 50 characters, that headlines at every event. You cannot patch it piece by piece. Everything has to be ready now. Capcom does care about that stuff, it's free advertisement for them.

Agreed, they are different, but both situations involve the consumer losin money.

The thing that bothers most about UMvC3 is the short time between games. It makes you wonder, almost as if they knew MvC3 was broken but still when ahead with release.

Not to mention it was supposed to be DLC, but they blamed the earthquake 😐

Ultimately UMvC3 was packed with enough content changes, but it's still in essence the same game.

Anyways I'm looking into buying this one for PS3. I had the original for Xbox but since I don't have LIVE, I gave it away

should be a good purchase, me thinks
