I agree to a point. I would have much preferred to have seen who was Lucille'd... But like Robert Tardarian said earlier: I also understand why they left a cliffhanger. Despite how upset most were with the ending, I guaran-f*cking-tee that everyone will watch the S7 premiere to find out who was killed--I wouldn't at all be surprised if it gleaned record-breaking numbers.

So from a business standpoint the cliffhanger was a great decision... Still a big dick in the ass to most fans, though. 😂

Can I visually see issue 100 in this episode, I mean phuck Rick was like 🤨, they came out in packs. I think this is the first time I seen Rick scared nothing wrong with that, but it was so emotional overwhelming for him especially with Meggie having pregnancy issue which compound the stress, this was the first time rich doesn't know what to do, but by no means hes a punk.

Which is what I'm getting at. It was just a buildup to bigger ratings, not any sort of resolution. Someone died but you can't care about it because you don't even know. It had the audience emotionally invested and then it took all that away and replaced it with rage.

This is the type of shit Golgo would applaud if it was a DC show. Hell he's cheering for essentially "ratings" right now while still defending BVS

It's totally a ratings grab. I think Kirkman likes peeing on his fans. A new age Marilyn Manson.

Yeah, this is exactly the type of shit the Golg's lives for.

This show is starting to emulate the comics so much. I'm surprised people are surprised at the cliffhanger ending. I'm already anticipaing a cliffhanger ending attached to each and every episode.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan was excellent as negan. blew me away. 😍

Maybe someone who reads the comics can answer, but was his portrayal of negan pretty close to how he is in the comics? how about his overall look?

Anyone know if JDM is having some health issues? He's been looking uncharacteristically frail ever since his season on Extant.

As far as his line delivery goes, it was spot-on. The only dialogue missing was was the incessant profanity Negan uses in the comics(which, sadly, can't be used on cable TV.) His overall look was spot-on as well--the clothing and whatnot is identical to what he wears in the comics.

The main difference in that department is sheer physical size. Comic Negan is a big f*cker--Rick barely reaches his chin:

He's also very muscular.

But irl, JDM 'only' has about 4 inches on Andrew Lincoln... But the height difference really doesn't matter in the end--he'll still be excellent. 👆

Spoiler:
Nothing, he just wanted to see Rick's reaction. Which of course was going apeshit and trying to take on him h2h.

Spoiler:
Nothing. Carl ran away to try to kill Negan, was captured, and Negan just scared him with banter. In a way, Negan was also nice to Carl. Negan is just messing with Rick's mind.

No, he kinda bulk up for Thomas Wayne character, and then slim down for Negan remember the dude is almost 50 years old.

Negan in Comics is like a big man to my understanding, like Luke Cage height and size compare to a rick jones. Negan is physically intimidating in WD universe plus a psycho.

I agree with you 100% 👆 , When you see the helplessness in rick eyes, you knew he met his match in Negan. Not only negan is smart, he's ruthless, cunning, schemer, manipulator, sadistic and a big mofo. What I gather from reading the trade paperbacks, Negan does have respect for Rick and we will find out in season 7

The dramatic build up was nice and all, but I am still not impressed with the Saviors as a whole. They have a cool and clever leader, and lots of numbers and guns, but the show they put on is nothing Rick couldn't have done with equal manpower, resources and prep. And so far, without the odds stacked massively in their favour, the Saviors have died in droves against Rick's people.

I think part of the point of the Survivors dying by the dozen was to show us the type of leader Negan is and the total control he has over his people, since he pretty much said in front of them that he didn't care all that much that his people died, it was more of an annoyance to lose that many in regards to his schemes.

I get that. But still, it doesn't create the greatest impression about the competence of Negan's people when he isn't around. They have a lot of manpower and a lot of stuff, so naturally have a lot more options with what they can do compared to Rick and his group. But guess we will really see how things stack up next season.

I take it as Rick's crew being far more capable, pound per pound. Daryl stealth murders and then rockets to death 7-8 guys, Rick and crew ninja-infiltrate and murder multiples, Carol and Maggie at the compound, Carol's car scene, the showdown at the tracks (dick bite scene). Negan's people really seem to just rely on having the numbers advantage(and that has failed) when Negan isn't directly involved thus far.

It's the difference between a small band of talented people and a large group of drones under a charismatic and competent leader. Numbers win out initially, but raw talent wins in the long run.
