I marathoned the second half of season 3 and loved it. The show is exponentially more enjoyable without having to sit through AMC's annoying commercials every 5 minutes and having to wait a week for each episode. I thought the story arc was pretty goddamn brilliant (although there were a few things that I didn't quite get, like why Merle changed his ways all of a sudden). I didn't like most of the music choices in the show either, they just didn't fit the situations at all, so that was just poor direction, but luckily the story was strong enough to overcome it.
I don't know how they can top this story arc, don't know where they can go next. Those who have read the comics: is it still gonna be worth watching after this?

-The Prison Saga is arguably the most memorable in the comic series. So it doesn't surprise me that this season is gathering up fans for the long run.
-Considering how much the show has branched from the plot of the comic it really is up to the writers at this stage. the characters in the comic by this stage in the story were so heavily hit psychologically that it became a losing fight.
Whereas the TV show at this stage seems to favor Rick's team. I imagine they are going to stay in the prison for alot longer and begin the politics that happened alot earlier in the comics.
Especially the relationship between Tyrese and Rick. Tyrese was there since the early days in the comics but he just arrived now.
So now the show is going to back peddle into the that important factor.

Out of curiosity, which decisions were you unhappy with?

anybody know what happened to lori's body? it wasn't there when rick came back.. it wasn't inside the walker's tummy either.. re-animated somewhere in the prison?
The Walker he shot had ate her. There was a blood trail leading from where her body was to where the overly obese Walker was. And there was hair sticking out of its mouth.
So as part of an agreement with the new gf, I'm now watching this show (for her part, she's getting into Doctor Who...poor girl; she has no idea how badly she lost the bargain in terms of hours required). I'm about four episodes in. So I can't really chat with ya'll just yet, but I will be able to soon. I can't say it's hooked me, necessarily. But it's well-made, and clearly the character-driven nature of it is handled well.
