Character drama aside, I'm having a harder and harder time suspending my disbelief about Walkers. Especially after seeing World War Z, these slow ass rotten zombies just don't seem like a credible threat anymore. 4 seasons in and they're still big trouble. Also, just how many are there in that relatively secluded wooded area of the southeast? You'd think they'd have depleted the reserves by now.
to be fair, the walkers are always migrating from one area to another in search of sustenance, but yeah, the walker army is portrayed as nigh-limitless in TWD.
as for the TWD zombies being slow, that is more realistic imo. they are dead... their muscle, bone, tendons, ligaments, etc. are rotting away. aside from unlimited stamina, none of their physical stats *should* be boosted by the zombie virus. if anything, they *should* be weaker/slower than a normal human.

But we're supposed to believe these hardened, armed, experienced zombie killers still view these things as threatening and worrisome. My suspension of disbelief is taut and getting tauter.
i don't think they find 1... or even a dozen zombies threatening anymore. it's when the zombies swarm in waves of hundreds that the team starts shitting their pants.
either way, all the group really needs is berserker rick from last season back. the dude solo'd dozens of zombies in tight quarters like the fodder they are. 👆

I've long thought that too. As much as the rest of the series has been a hit-and-miss, that first episode was f*cking wonderful. Hooked me instantly.
Tbh, I'm not sure that any episode from any series is as good as s1/e1 of TWD. I honestly hold it in that high of esteem. It is 1 solid hour of perfection.
