For people who've seen TFUII E3 trailer, do you notice what he does to that giant droid who fires...whatever it fires at him? Stops it with one hand. I noticed a similar technique used by the female Jedi in the latest TOR cinematic trailer, where she stops a Sith's lightsaber with her hand...

Is this supposed to be a variation on whatever Force power Vodo-Siosk Baas and Yoda use, or something? I've never seen it before, and I find it pretty stupid.

Did anyone else notice that when she was blocking the saber with her hand, the saber looked like it was starting to crack/break? (happens at 3:39)

Hell, what's the need for saber to saber combat when you're capable of snapping them in half with your bare hands? Stupid, imo.

Something that supports my hypothesis that the two are one in the same.
Hm, I guess that would explain why there were so many lightsaber-toting baddies in that clip... mmm

It's made out of energy so it can't "break". Energy can be disrupted if it loops on itself though. It could have been "shorting out", per say.

That f*cker is breaking.

I noticed that too. That doesn't make sense.

Oh shit. I didn't notice that til you brought it to my attention. Looks like it darkens and appears to start cracking.

And what the hell was up with that Sith's saber skills? Hopping around everywhere, taking big looping swings that're easily ducked and dodged. Dude kinda sucked. We might have a Dark Side candidate for Johun Othone.

He's demonstrated more abilities than that overrated Revan though.

Say what? Force Lightning that's resisted by a Republic trooper cannon fodder? Force Push? I'm more impressed with the female Jedi, who apparently can do the Kamehameha.

don't forget the auto kill vs. Ventress during DR.
it pwnd

Cracking lightsaber? That's really intense... but please do discuss the TOR game in a relevant thread. This is for discussing TFU2.

I meant she, not he. Sorry,

From the TOR trailer, she might have been wearing some beskar on her hand and a lightsaber can't pierce that armor. Or she could have created some sort of unknown Force barrier to stop the blade. Either way, it was a pretty nice looking effect. The Sgt. in the trailer appeared to be one of those troops who was used to pain and it didn't matter to him. After all, he did use a thermal detonator at point-blank range. Maybe he'll be written into the game as a Force-sensitive.

Yea that trooper deflecting the Force lightning definitely has to have some kind of Force-sensitivity or resistance. And what's with the troopers lacking some originality? Their helmets are too similar to the ROTS clone troopers.

The jedi chick is the Grand Master of the Jedi Order at that time, isn't she? That would explain her ability to short/break a saber. But it doesn't seem like she could hold it for more than a few seconds. And it would be much easier for her to just short the power charge of the saber, like Lomi Plo did to Skywalker in the Swarm Wars.

The Kamehameha was over the top, but still pretty cool effects.

containment field breech?

Nope. It's been confirmed that it is not Satele Shan who is the Grandmaster during TOR, but this movie is set before she becomes the Grandmaster.

I honestly think it could be Satele's mother who was exiled from the order.

Edit: On topic there is a Kane Starkiller skin.

Now that is awesome!

TFU became stupid as soon as there was the idea that someone who has spent the majority of his life as a sith, can just turn his back on the dark side.

star wars itself was weakened when the dark-side became something everyone can play around with. before vader, no one had ever really come back from the dark side. revan I suppose, but he fell again.

now everyone does it for a week, and is immediately forgiven of whatever they did during that week when they get back. Like vegas.

What happens on the dark side, STAYS on the dark side.

Yup I agree. Although I think it may be different with Cade Skywalker. I know there's only one "Chosen One", but they portray Cade to be a Chosen One as well. Ridiculous force potential, amazing abilities, can use the dark side without being corrupted, etc.. Still, goes against Lucas' concept of the dark side.

....Electric Judgment.

Anytime it's used, I facepalm.
