Vera goes flipping away just as lasers tear into the heavy object she was using as cover. It explodes hilariously more than you thought it would, and you tumble behind another just like it.
The lasers are coming from two ceiling-mounted cannons in the far top corners of the rectangular room you are in. They are heavy duty cannons being operated from the room above.
It slipped my mind that you have Charge now. In which case, this situation is resolved fairly easily. You aren't able to drop back into cover after you destroy the first gun (which you do), but you manage to minimize the damage when the remaining gun goes off. You only take 1 damage as you jump clear.
And then the second gun is eviscerated like the first.
Now that the danger is over... you realize that you are standing in the armory. You are surrounded by dozens of racks holding an assortment of blasters, as well as crates of ammunition (some of which were detonated by the shooting).
Navir and Barker join you shortly.
"We'll be surrounded in moments," Navir says. "I hope you had a plan for getting out."
Barker growls that he should trust your judgment.
"If you say so," Navir says. "I'll get started rigging this place to blow. You keep those troops occupied or this won't go well."
(I'm sure you're not far off!)
Vera-Kin will see if there are any handy weapons here in the armory. If there is nothing cool or helpful, she is going to proceed to the corridor to make sure that nobody passes down it. Maybe she and Barker can commandeer the hidden guns in the hallway?
Can she sense anyone above them?
You have a limited knowledge of guns, Vera. It looks like most of these are blaster carbines and you aren't sure that all of them work (due to the atmospheric weirdness of the planet).
You could definitely do that if you didn't sense soldiers from above coming down from the pillbox's gunnery to box you in.
As for Xeth and Ti...
You are arriving at the point where you dropped Vera-Kin off at about this time. As a reminder, it is an area near the coast where R3 and Gator were detecting one of the major broadcast signals. This one belonged to Wazo Kell, one of the three warlords.
The trashed and decayed area in which he resides used to be a major vacation resort. It seems rather empty this time.
