Cross-Genre Match #2: Darth Vader vs Iron Man

Started by Lord_Talron13 pages

so are we still discussing who would win or is it now who would you rather be? ^^

It went from
1.Darth Vader vs Iron Man
2.Which is more impressive: Vader's Force powers + lightsaber or Classic Iron Man armor?
3.Classic Iron Man vs Hoth

As Galan stated, their are a few things that can resist lightsabers. Darth Vader's suit is apparently on of them in certain areas.

It'll go through Iron Man's suit without issue though.

Vader's suit is definitely lightsaber resistant, but it's not lightsaber proof. Afaik, the only non-force-enhanced, lightsaber proof materials in the SWU are: Cortosis, Phrik, Tikulini skin, Darkswords, and Beskar.

But yeah, I absolutely think a lightsaber would cut Tony's armor like it wasn't even there.... Don't think Vader would need to resort to that, though.

couldn't Vader just force crush the armor?

He's got options. Force choke, crush, etc. He could just crush Tony through the suit...

EDIT-

And, reading through the last 8 pages, I think it would be a good idea for you guys to actually know some shit about Star Wars aside from the movies... at least when discussing a vs. fight. >_>

justs sayin'.

The Expanded Universe is canon, though. Galan or someone else would know much better than I, but the EU is just as canon as the movies are.

The EU is like movies and filler in DBZ. It's all canon, but it's not comics so it's a different kind of canon.

So, how does Stark usually handle telekinetics/telepaths?

Any countermeasures in the old armor?

Force Crush would end this before is started. IronMan has litteraly no hope.

Technically, yes, but when you see Tony fight people like Hulk, Namor, etc. it's kinda hard to envision Vader just outrightly crushing it. I have no problem with him chocking Stark inside thje suit though.

Why? Even the Extremis armor has been physically damaged by characters far weaker then the likes of Hulk or Namor *cough*Mallen*cough*. Having said that, I see absolutely no reason why someone with the telekinetic prowess of Vader couldn't [severely] damage the armor as well -- especially since the classic red/gold suit is what's being used here.

I heard someone in the SWVF mention that when Vader raided the Jedi Temple during the Knightfall Operation, her crushed a durasteel wall or door. That would go great for his case of crushing the suit.

^ I'm not sure if Vader has crushed Durasteel. I know he's pulverized Mandalorian iron, though.

There are actually a number of materials in the SWU that a lightsaber cannot cut through.

The novel is much more detailed.

👆

I meant like energy fields. Can you name an instance of a lightsaber failing to cut through a non-energy related material.

^How many accounts has he made?I think he started out as red redemption. And is there any way to ban his IP address.

Welding droids in one of the novels. The Lightsaber just bounced off whatever material they were made of. I think it was The Crystal Star, but it's been a long time since I've read them.

Seriously, Stark hasen't faced any high level telekinetics in his old armor?

I mean, it's Marvel. Characters who could crush you with their mind are a dime a dozen, and some high level telekinetics put Star Wars Force feats to shame...

Wielding or welding?
